I enjoyed The Lost Bookshop. It’s a blend of fantasy, fairy tale, and historical fiction with love, loss, and second chances. The story weaves between the early 1900s and the present day, creating a magical atmosphere that kept me interested.Henry and Martha were my absolute favorites, even when they frustrated me. I adored them.I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I am still left with questions, especially about Madam Bowen. Was she real? Did I miss something? The last few chapters packed in a lot of revelations. I felt it was rushed towards the end.Still, this was a lovely read with a touch of magic and melancholy.

I really fell in love with the characters in this book. I also love the magic and mystery that makes you not want to put the book down. Thank you Evie Woods for such an enchanting novel!

I absolutely loved this story, I listened to the audiobook and loved the narrators!! This book had me giggling, gasping and crying. All the emotions. I love how it took you through the different stories of Opaline in the 1920’s, and Martha in the current days. It showed how two women in different eras still have some of the same issues that hold women back from being seen as equals, or valuable assets in any field. I love the surprises that unfolded, the HEA’s that both the women received. Who doesn’t love a happy ending?

I enjoyed this book so much I stayed up way too late finishing the last several chapters. There is weirdness (that tree!) Characters are a wide range of angst, insecurity and determination. I loved the literary history that drove the plot and Opaline’s story will stick with me forever.
