Nice Zucchini
Zucchini is an easy vegetable to grow, and one or two plants will yield tons of vegetables - more than enough for our family of two. These seeds are kinda pricey, but given that you get 25 seeds and only need a couple of plants to feed a small size family, they are well worth it. The plants will grow somewhat like a wide bush, about 3 feet wide and 2 feet tall. You can even trim some of the leaves back late in the season. It's up to you how big you like for your zucchini to get. I've seen people selling them at the farmer's market in all sizes from about 6 inches long up to over a foot long. The larger ones tend to have a lot of seeds. Perfect for a sauteed veggie or for making zucchini bread. I had no problems with pests either and I do not use pesticides. Overall, I am well pleased.

Good Germination Percentage
I got 93% of the seeds to successfully germinate. The plants did well in a controlled greenhouse. The squash were average in size, good quality & flavorful. Good buy for heirloom seeds!

Not a single blossom
I planted these zucchini in several location to see which spot would be optimum. At the same time I got several volunteer plants of other variety that thrived. The zucchini plant grew -- five in total -- and not a single one produced a blossom. I got zero zucchinis from these seeds.

Four Out of Four Seeds Germinated in 24 Hours
I do not have luck growing zucchini from seed. I live in an area that doesn’t get very warm. This year I direct seeded zucchini and yellow squash, from another company, in my greenhouse. The yellow squash did great. The zucchini didn’t sprout at all. Since our fall isn’t much cooler than our summer, I decided to try these seeds, when they arrived, four days ago. When I opened this Pear Vortex Black Zucchini seed packet, the first thing I noticed is there were 34 seeds in the packet sold as being 25 seeds. They advertise 90% germination, so with 34 seeds you should get25 plants, or more. Since my last try didn’t produce any plants (from a different company), I started four seeds in a clear zipper bag, between a damp paper towel. On day two all four seeds had a tiny root sprout. On day four, the roots were almost two inches long and green stems were starting to show on each plant. I will plant these in soil, today, in my greenhouse. The packet says they take 50 days. I think they will have time to produce a few zucchini, before it gets too cold, because we don’t get freezing weather until December. I will still have plenty of seeds to plant in the spring. These are heirloom seeds, which I always try to plant.
