Easy to use, perfect color
We had new windows installed in our 60 year old home which meant new wood, but I wanted the interior casings to match our hardwood floors that are throughout the house. This worked perfectly! Smells decent and is easy to apply.

Beautiful, non-toxic, baby safe, and easy to use!
We used this cherry stain on several items: our floor crib, a wooden wall hanger for mobiles, and an unfinished wooden teether toy/rattle. We put 3 coats on everything, the instructions on the Tried & True website were very easy to follow and as recommended we used cotton rags to apply it, which I ordered on Amazon along with the stain. A little goes a long way, we still have half a pint left. We did all of this in the baby’s room, since there are no fumes or VOCs from this product and it’s easy to clean up any excess that drips. No need for gloves either since linseed oil is very safe, and there are no chemicals in this. Be sure to follow the instructions and wipe vigorously with a clean rag between coats, and you shouldn’t have any issues. It took my hubby and I an hour and a half to do the crib. The little toy and the mobile hanger only took maybe 20 minutes. It was very easy, we left them alone to cure for a couple of days, and there is no tackiness. We love how they turned out with the cherry stain! :) We have some floating bookshelves that need to be sanded before staining, so after hubby sands those down we’ll be staining those with this as well so everything will match in our baby’s nursery.

Highly Recommend - Very Nice Stuff
Goes on easy and smooth. Nice subtle earthy scent. Rich color. Most important, it's eco-friendly. Well worth the money. I would purchase again.

Extremely high quality, subtle color.
I really enjoyed using this wood stain. All the other stains that I've used before tend to put too much color on the wood way too fast and it's far too hard to control the actual amount of color that reaches the wood. This is far more subtle and you can control how deep the color is by the number of layers you put on. Also, the pigment is very rich and subtle, much more like natural wood (so you don't feel as though you're "painting" the wood.) Beautiful product, highly recommended, particularly for the Golden Oak, which I used.

Creates a oak tint butcher block for rubber wood.
Pretty easy to use. Used on Rubberwood butcher block from Lowe’s. I don’t like the yellow color that happens after you add mineral oil (Picture) so I add one layer of stain and followed directions and made sure I rubbed it in well. Created a oak color after I add mineral oil. (Picture of full butcher block). I like the color but may darken it once the butcher block fully cures. The picture was taken two weeks after the stain was applied one with mineral oil just applied the other when it is dry. Only bummer is that The Butcher Block has wood grains that has a hard time excepting oil or stain, but that’s due to the material of the butcher block

BEAUTIFUL
I was skeptical if this stain would work. However, my blond butcherblock did not look good with my walnut countertops. It stained beautifully. I highly recommend it! It looks perfect.

Total waste of $40
On Amazon "Java stain" has a definite orange hue. Upon delivery the color on the can looks like pecan. When you open the can of this outrageously priced stain the actual color is a dark, ugly, dirty motor oil looking, blackish brown, not a hint of orange. Don't buy from this company. No way to tell what color you will get.

Pricey but Worth It
Great coverage in one coat. Applies easily. Got this because I stained some animal cage frames and I wanted to use a non toxic stain. This cost $45.00 for a quart. Seems a little much to me but it sure goes a very long way. Yes, I will buy it again.
