good for a smooth finish
I kind of think this would be the equivalent of the smoothest side of a nail buffer. It does a good job of finishing and smoothing your feet but it's not rough. I think I will use my metal file to get some of the thicker areas done and then this as the finisher to smooth out the skin.

Very gentle abrasion
I like that this callous remover is very gentle, especially if used on wet feet. I soaked my feet for about 15 minutes in cool water (because it is hot outside) then I used a circular motion while I rasped off the callouses that had started to form on my heels. This foot file was gentler than either a metal scraper or my old pumice stone, and although it took longer to get down to fresh pink skin, I liked the results better. My feet were left very smooth with no rough spots.

Sharp and effective
This is a nice manual callus remover. I have an electric one that I like more, but for a manual one this is great. Sometimes being able to grab one for a quick rub is really nice. I like that it can be used wet or dry.

This foot file works!
This foot file works so well and so easily. The shape of the file is made to fit into the palm of your hand. With just small motions you can buff away all the rough spots on your foot. It worked really well on my heals. The file made them feel so soft. I do with it had some sort of cover to keep it clean and from getting damaged. But overall it is helping keep my feet summer ready!

It works VERY well for me!
I was genuinely shocked at how well this worked. I've bought many a Swedish file, PediEgg (junk), scrapers, you name it, all in the attempt to get smoother heels. I quickly get callouses due to lots of walking and hiking, and I want to make sure my feet are presentable for sandal season. The best tool I've found prior to this was a good ole pumice stone, used in the shower a couple of times per week, and applying lotion each night.I used this thingie - scraper? stone? shaver? file? it's kind of a blend of all of them- on dry feet after a hot bath, so my skin was still soft from the water. It is lightweight and about the size of a computer mouse. I did just a few light passes on one heel in order to compare it to the other. I could see what looked like baby powder on my heel. It didn't hurt or cause any discomfort. The scraper side of this device is definitely scratchy, like tiny pieces of broken glass, but when run across my heels I just felt the same sensation I've gotten from other files. It also did a better job of removing a stubborn callous on the side of my big toe, the one area pumice stones do not do well. The description says it can be used as a shaver. I had an electric buffer thing nearly 30 years ago that could be used in lieu of shaving. The "crystal" hair eraser follows the same principle except there's no electrical option. I rubbed it in a light up-and-down motion (worked better than circles) on clean skin with about 2 weeks worth of growth. I'd applied lotion beforehand. This device worked very well as a shaver for me, albeit with a little sensitivity afterwards. It's slower than shaving but a nice option.Only complaint is that this device came in an unsealed box without any instructions. I would suggest starting with very light passes and increase pressure as needed until you see results, just as this is sharper than you might think. HIGHLY recommended!

Good Enough.
This callas remover does work but I’ve tried better removers. What I really like about this one, is the shape. It is very comfortable to hold. The back is plastic and it is pretty light.

Works Pretty Well
The back of this foot file is made of plastic, shaped so it fits comfortably in the hand. The filing surface is made of etched glass. It does a pretty good job of filing off rough, cracked skin on your heels. It's not quite as good as the other foot file I have which has a handle, and two filing surfaces, one really rough, and one less rough, for smoothing the skin after you have removed the dead skin. I do like that this one fits in the hand, rather than having a handle though, since it gives you more leverage. I do think this file is a little pricey. Overall, I think this file works pretty well to remove rough skin on your feet, but there are better and more reasonably priced options out there.

Sharp
For being a flat disk, this callus shaver is quite sharp to my finger, so go carefully. The shape of it is good for griping during use. I found you get a better smooth feeling finish if you go in many directions over your heel
