As good as auto wahs costing many times the price
This wah/filter pedal is amazing value. I previously used a Mad Professor auto wah which was great but cost an arm and a leg. This little Donner isn't quite as flexible but then it is about a seventh of the price and is certainly versatile enough for my modest wah needs. The pedal doesn't seem to add any noticeable noise to the signal chain and doesn't seem to affect tone when bypassed. I have it on a compact pedalboard before a distortion, an overdrive and then an old Zoom G3 that I use for modulations, delays and noise gating. The whole setup works brilliantly together and the Donner wah takes up next to no space on my board. It's solidly built, weighty and looks durable. The only things that may be just a tiny bit vulnerable are the small knobs that are pretty standard for pedals in this mini format but they should be fine so long as I don't stomp right on them. Also standard for this smaller pedal format is the lack of an on-board battery power option: compact pedals are usually intended to be used with a power supply.Paint job aside, this looks physically pretty identical to the Mooer equivalent and a number of other similar pedals from lesser known brands. Not surprising as so many products are now made in a small number of factories who brand them up under many names we know well. You could, very likely, buy exactly the same pedal and pay twice as much just for a different name and paint finish. The sounds are easily adjustable and really impressive. It takes a while to dial in the sensitivity etc for different pickups and guitars, but once you get a feel for it, the range of wah effects available is very good as is the overall sound quality.I'm delighted with the pedal. So much so that, even though I don't really need any more FX I'm looking for an excuse to get a couple more of the pedals in this series just for fun.

Donner Dynamic Wah - A Great Little-find That Gave Me The Sound I Wanted At Half The Price
After coming back to guitar after 20 years of not playing, I had to start from scratch. First on the list an Ibanez RG350 limited Edition and I managed to get hold of a Marshall, MG100 dfx, which wasn't on the list. So all I needed now were some effects.I looked at some other phase shifting pedals and to be honest I couldn't really justify the spending the money at the time as I had already spent a considerable amount on the Ibanez. Then I came across this Donner pedal on Amazon. Donner? Who the hell are they? This thing looked so tiny, ridiculously tiny, that I was sure it would't be any good? And it was PINK! Why pink? But, on the other hand, it was so cheap? This thing was less than half the price of other phase shifting (Wah) effects pedals, which meant that if this thing was any good, I could literally have my cake and eat it? All I would lose would be £20.00, if I didn't want to go through all the effort and trouble to send it back for a refund. Better to give it to someone who may be able to make good use of it and save me the hassle and make someone else happy in the process. In case anyone doesn't realize, this effect comes with no battery compartment. So you will need to either use an existing power supply or buy a new one. I had ordered one, pretty much the same day as I ordered the pedal but the pedal turned up first, leaving me a bit frustrated that I couldn't use it straight away. So me being me, made a battery lead out of an old power supply that no longer worked or had a use for and some battery connectors, which I found in a little electronics shop years ago, that sadly, died when its owner died. So it is still possible to use it with a battery. It it may not look pretty, but it works flawlessly. See first pic. After putting it first in line after my amp and before any other effects, I played around with it for a bit. To say that I was surprised was an understatement. Not only was it any good, for my money this was on a par with Boss and other brands that I had seen reviewed on You Tube. It has four buttons, SENS, RES, Decay and a Range button. I wont bore the reader on what they do, because if you are looking to buy this, the chances are, you will already know or have a good idea. You basically play with the buttons until you get the sound you are after, adjusting each one at a time to see how it changes the sound or phasing. It does have that tendency to be all or nothing. In that it will give you a good wah sound but with a lot of sweeping noise, but if you adjust it right, you can find that sweet spot where you get a lot of wah but less of the sweeping noise. If you can get over the fact that it is so small and pink, I would recommend this to anyone that was thinking of getting some type of phase/wah pedal. At this price you really can't go wrong.

AMAZING!!! Lost a star because of the software issues
Amazing looper pedal!!! A great value!!! It's got looper and drum machine (100 different drum beats) and most importantly IT'S SUPER EASY TO USE!!!! So lovely and enjoyable experience to record with it. Before this pedal I bought the Lekato with drum machine (the blue one) and it's a nightmare to understand what to do!!!On top of being very user friendly, it doesn't cost much and there are drums included. The only fault is that when I plugged the USB into the computer there is no software recognized, and the files cannot be accessed from the computer. I had to use my DAW and audio interface to record the memorized tracks while playing them back.It seems like the software to access the memorized tracks needs to be downloaded from the Donner web site, but there are no instructions about this, and so I don't trust to download software from the Donner web site, as it could be harmful software. I was expecting to find clear information about this. That's my only disappointment. Also, it seems like what is shown as software on the Donner web site is actually Firmware.I hope Donner will make this aspect clear in the future. Probably the instructions should include and unique code for accessing and using the Software/Firmware? Similarly to equipment like Focusrite and others.

Lots of power in such a small package
You can’t beat the quality and size for the price, it’s easy to make the adjustments according to the music that fits the atmosphere, it will sustain the sound in a smooth manner or you can have it carry a sound in a aggressive manner or some where in between, great product for the price

buon auto-wah
