Neewer understands the needs of photographers
Photography is my favorite hobby, so I am constantly reading photography blogs and watching Photoshop tutorials on Youtube. Neewer is one of the brands that is consistently mentioned among photographers. After getting these light reflectors, I completely understand why. The light reflectors are about 3x the size of the bag they come in, but they can easily bend and be stuffed back into the small bag they come in. The carrying bag is small and compact and can be taken on the go. You can fit it into a backpack or suitcase.Inside the carrying bag, you will find a reflector that on one side is white and on the other side is black. Then there is a reversible sleeve that has silver on one side and gold on the other. The stock photo makes it seem like you will get five separate reflectors. What you get is one reflector and then a silver/gold sleeve you can put on it if you want to change colors. Making it this way is much more convenient to carry to a photo shoot, which is why I say they are the brand that understands a photographer’s needs. These light reflectors have sturdy handles on the side. There is a hole in each handle that allows you to mount the reflector to a light stand. You can use it handheld or with a stand. However, this purchase does not come with a stand- only the reflectors. I got the 22”, which is made for macro photographers. If you do portraits, I recommend you get the 32” or 43.”To use the reflector, hold it directly opposite a light source. Usually, a reflector is used to fill in shadows or add a little color to the subject. It bounces light onto the subject. Reflectors are essential to getting great photos, even if photography is only a hobby for you and not a profession. Buying this is completely worth it, and you won’t regret it.

Compact and Versatile
Reflectors are the poor child of the studio, but they are really essential to get the lighting perfect. This little kit is very compact, small enough even to shove into a thin space in your camera bag.The design of the reflector is ingenious. There is a basic disc which is fitted with a diffuser. On top of that is a reversible sleeve that offers 4 different surfaces: white, silver, black, and gold. There are handles across from one another for single- or double-handed use. One of the handles has a 3/8" thread so you can attach the reflector to a tripod. I'm not sure why Neewer opted for a 3/8" instead of 1/4", but I've got a ton of 3/8-1/4 adaptors lying around, so it's not really an issue. If you're shooting without an assistant, the ability to attach the reflector to a tripod is really handy, because you can angle it to get a very precise fill. The first time you try to put the reflector back into its carrying bag, you're going to be convinced that you've taken on an impossible task. You'll feel like trying to twist the reflector back to the way it was when it was still inside the bag will break or rip it for sure. It's won't. There is only one way to get this back into the bag and that's by firmly twisting the reflector so that it forms two concentric circles. It's hard to describe in words. Your best bet is to remove it from the bag very slowly the first time, holding it tightly with your hand so it won't pop open. Then slowly let it open, and you'll understand what you'll need to do to get it back into the bag when you're done with it.If I could go back and do it all over again, I would probably go up a size. At 22", these are fine for the field, but something larger is better in the studio environment. Neewer makes this kit in two larger sizes -- 32" and 43", so choose the size that best fits your needs.

Great portable reflectors
I really like that the reflector comes as a single package, allowing you to simply slip the different reflector colors over the frame, and that everything is stored in a single bag about a third the size of the expanded frame. The light reflected is balanced well depending on the color disc selected from warm to bright to muted.

Decent, Zipper a Bit Rough
These are my first set of reflectors. The feature that sets these apart is the hand grips. The entire kit folds into a cheap zipper bag. It isn't too hard to compact down but does take a little practice. The zipper isn't perfect, a little rough. I have to be honest; I don't know how each color bounces or diffuses light differently from the others. Perhaps a few more instructions from Neewer would be just the ticket. Easy to look up. I don't think these look as premium as others due to massive crinkles, but that seems unavoidable since they fold small.

portable - complete - versatul
As a photographer, it seems like the lighting is never 'exactly' how you would like it. Too light, too harsh, too many shadows, wrong hue, wrong direction - the sun (and often times artificial lighting) just doesn't provide the illuminations that we would like to see. This set of reflectors should help resolve a lot of those concerns. I can finally put away the white cardboard that I have taken on many photo shoots. I can soften shadows. I can introduce warmer light into a scene. Not only is the functionality in the pack to do all these things - the entire pack is compact - it fits into a zip bag roughly 10" diameter. Of course this means that the reflectors are not 4' across but seldom do you require a reflector of that size. These reflectors a about 2' across which allows you to 'adjust' the lighting of the shots without introducing artificial light sources (and having to worry about using power to light those lights).I mentioned white cardboard earlier, the white reflector eliminates that from my photo bag. The 'gold' one can warm up the light in a scene while the black helps to reduce some glare/reflections.If you have never used reflectors, this is a very good (and reasonably complete) kit to learn about how to change lighting in a setting and to let you experiment prior to investing in larger reflectors. This is an easy 5 star rating.

Excellent for shooting into the sun
I make a lot of Youtube videos and this requires thumbnails to be composed, often outdoors. This reflector is small enough to be easy to put in a bag, but large enough to throw a usable amount of sunlight back at the subject when shooting into the sun during golden hour. The handles are great, as are the tripod sockets. I don't have a single complaint about it.

Good, big. Workd.
Really big, kicks around a-lot of light. Handles are cool and the fact they have screw holes in them is nice but it would probably need to be indoors as it would just flop in the wind. Easy enough to swap the bounce material around but folding it down can take a few tries to get it to fit in it's case.
