Fantastic camera, great video and audio capture, adjustable detection sensitivity nothing bypasses this camera. Self adjusts to the available light conditions to record clear, detailed video. With built in solar panel to keep the battery charged (provided it's placed in adequate sunlight) and simple, effortless mounting this camera ticks all the boxes.

Super easy to set up and share. Very simple installation, was up and running in 10mins. Good picture quality and at night time as well. Good quality and no fees. What’s not to like.

Since I left the review below Eufy have reached out to help solve my problems with this camera , I have been so impressed with the time and care Eufy have spent on resolving my problems that I have now added to this review. Thanks to the help from Eufy my camera is now working as it should the quality of this camera was never in doubt the fix is is about the positioning,the height ,the angle ,the settings and trial and error, I really enjoyed getting this right , so I would recommend this camera and Eufy as a company I was surprised that they had read my review and acted on 5 stars all round. Had this for 2wks now ,good points easy to set up and install ,battery life seems to be very good and picture is excellent. It is very good quality and seem very robust, but it misses more events than it gets. I have tried everything in the settings on the app every tips on the internet but it seems this is a common flaw , I’ve had it a different heights ,moved it to different positions,different angles, straight on , to the side ,tilted up tilted down but make no difference ie it can pick up a small sparrow flying past but not a car driving past , does not pick a person until halfway down my driveway regardless of how I set it up, I had a cheat tapo camera which picked up every event so I’m a wee bit disappointed,nevertheless it is a good camera and a deterrent and maybe a future update will fix the flaws so I’m keeping this camera

Excellent camera quality, easy to set up and install, charge within 5 hours which is great. The downside is the solar during winter time does not really charge it up so deduction in battery life for me is roughly 15% a day and maybe a 2% at best solar charge. Mines been up for 3 weeks and its ready to be taken down for its 3rd charge. So have them accessible with a ladder to take them down. My area is high traffic so my battery will deplete more than areas that may be quiet. They look great and it gives me a peace of mind after a friends van was stollen from outside my house. My internet provider is Plusnet and no issues with connecting.

This 2-pack of eufy SoloCam S220 cameras has been a really solid upgrade for home security. Setup was surprisingly straightforward once mounted, they connected quickly to WiFi and were up and running in the app without much hassle. The 2K video quality is clear and detailed, both during the day and at night, and it’s easy to see faces and movement. The motion detection is smart enough to filter out most irrelevant activity, and notifications come through promptly when something actually matters. One of the biggest advantages is the solar charging system. As long as the cameras get a bit of sunlight each day, they stay charged without needing constant battery removal or manual recharging. That alone makes them very low maintenance compared to other systems. I also really like that there’s no subscription required, which makes long-term use more cost-effective. Footage storage and core features are included without extra monthly fees. The build quality feels weather-resistant and sturdy, and they’ve handled rain and cold without any issues so far. Overall, this is a reliable, well-designed wireless security setup that’s easy to live with and does exactly what it promises. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a simple, subscription-free home security solution.

Theses cameras are great and well worth the money. Easy to set up, no wires and work perfect if in direct sunlight for a few hours a day. If not you can buy a separate solar panel ( although will need a Eufy one for it to work properly). The free App is also impressive, easy to use with many features.

We bought this along with the doorbell, hub and and internal camera. They are amazing, the camera detects movement and identifies whether that's caused by an animal, human or vehicle. The facial recognition is brilliant, accurately identifying who's there. It's mounted in a corner of our garden that doesn't get much sun, so will need to be removed for charging. But that's really easy to do. Perhaps too easy, as the camera could be stolen. Eufy offer a number of options for storage of footage: - Store on camera alone, so if the camera is taken the footage is lost. Though it can be downloaded remotely to a mobile device. - Store footage on the Hub which has the additional benefit of tracking movement across cameras. This gives some additional security in that footage is backed up away from the camera. It also delivers the AI for facial recognition and geofencing (more on that later). - Using a susbcription to upload to Eufy cloud. As far as I can tell, there are weak points in all of these approaches. For cloud attached devices, cutting the phone line going into the house would disable the camera. Whereas, the Eufy hub will still maintain footage. But the Eufy hub could be stolen. You pays your money and takes your choice. We chose the Hub as there's no monthly subscription. The Geofencing option automatically switches modes when you leave home with your phone. It can be configured so that multiple phones need to leave the zone in order to switch between "home" and "away" modes. In summary: The picture quality is great. They were really easy to install. The motion detection and AI is spooky, particularly for a cheap home camera. Really easy to setup on our devices. We'd moved to a new house, in a safe area, but had no alarm fitted. The EUFY setup gave us great peace of mind whilst away on holiday for a couple of weeks. Great product!

Real review time - and yes, this does have built in storage OR could use a Homebase 3 for expanded storage. As a longtime Ring and Kasa user i've been thinking about trying a Eufy camera for a long time. TBH i was put off by the revelations earlier this year and their patchy track record on honouring feature promises. This came out, and given that it is compatible with the Homebase 3 or can act as a standalone unit i was interested. Combined with the built in solar panel (a saving of £50 when looking at other manufacturers) i went for it. First thing to do upon receiving is was to charge it up via a mains charger, then create an account on the app. Wall mounting was easy thanks to the mounting template, although it doesn't like brick. Initially i stuck to Eufys guidance of a 15 degree angle on the camera - but changed that a day later. I found it took a day for the solar panel to register it's receiving enough energy to charge, however i put it up in the afternoon in my garden which doesn't get great sun coverage at that time. So far the camera has performed well; signal strength is great although it's only 8m from the router. Motion detection is very good, as is motion alert speed. Image quality is miles better than my 4+year old Ring spotlight cam. It has all the basics an then some; motion detection sensitivity, privacy and activity zones. In short it's great value even without the solar panel, add that in it's ideal for a camera to keep an eye on a quiet-ish area. I'd debate that wifi cameras are not real security cameras given the rise of wifi signal jammers, but this is a good piece of kit in the first 2 days of ownership. Put it this way, Eufy has potentially released a battery powered 2K wifi camera that you never need to take down to charge. At the same time Rings latest innovation was to release a 1080p camera where the only change was a plastic manual privacy cover - i'll update as it ages. A few tips on this though: 1. Angle the camera to 35 degrees, rather than 15 degrees - it's the optimum solar panel angle for the UK (Eufy seem to think everyone lives in Texas or California). 2. You'll need to clean to solar panel occasionally; a simple wipe with a damp cloth is all it'll need 3. A south facing mounting location is idea for the solar panel, but may not be practical 4. Assume your data is being sent or processed in China; Eufy are a Chinese company. This is more important if you are using the Homebase 3 where it can use AI detection/facial recognition. I mean not a problem if you are on TikTok, and frankly it's only a little worse than it being sent to the US.
