De'Longhi Capsule Solo Personal ceramic heater is a great way to keep warm at the office, home, cabin, bedroom or bathroom. It is very quiet so can be used at the office and not interfere with phone calls or work.The device is very well made with sturdy plastics and is compact so fits easily on most surfaces. It has a moveable piece of plastic on the front grille area to direct air to different angles. There is a knob on the top of the device to turn it off and on and to choose how much airflow is desired.At full blast you can barely hear the heater and it provides a good amount of heat. I have the heater about 5 feet away and can still feel the heat coming from the fans.There is a handle on top of the heater surrounding the control knob to lift the device even when its on. The handle is made of rubber type material so does not get hot to touch.The heater has two different shut off mechanisms so stop the heat and power should the device tip over or get too hot.This heater works quickly but will not heat a room outside of a small home office type setting. The device provides warmth and is great for putting under desk to keep feet and legs warm or using to direct the heater towards your upper body. It is low powered so not going to provide the blast that a 1000W ceramic heater would.This heater is also great to help art/crafts dry, to help an area stay warm (rising dough in kitchen, fermentation processes), keeping seedlings warm, heating up the bathroom or bedroom or just extra blast of warmth while working or watching TV.This ceramic heater is a very well built and quality item. De'Longhi is known for making quality items and this is definitely one of them. A small, efficient and safe personal heater that can heat a small area aroud you to keep you warm.

I've been using this heater for my office desk and it's amazing. The footprint is small and I'm surprised at how quiet it is. It also turns off when you accidentally knock it over, and if you leave it on for too long it pauses before it turns back on again.The outer shell is made of plastic but it doesn't get hot to the touch. The knob on the top turns the heater on and off, the knob makes it feel like there is different heat settings you can set it to but it's really just one setting. Having that said, if would be nice if there is at least 2 heat settings, or the first setting is just so low that I don't even notice it.

Note that this won't replace your personal space heater if you want it super warm - it's really just going to keep the temperature at an even level. It's not going to be boiling hot. In fact, there really isn't much in the way of actual temp control - there is a retro-futuristic silver knob that is apparently a heat setter, but honestly unless it's cranked all the way to the side it doesn't do much but blow around small puffs of air. But maybe that's what ppl want sometimes.Anyhow, this is a sleek, quality little heater that has a specific purpose. I like that I can run it for a couple of hours and it never overheats so it's really reliable - some heaters tend to shut themselves off after a bit when they overheat, which is super annoying. This De'Longhi never does that. The little handle is also a whimsical touch.A beauty of a li'l heater!
