Great color, easy to use
I used this stuff to re-finish our 30 year-old bedroom furniture in combination with a final overcoat of polyurethane. Some parts of the furniture were covered with new pieces of 1/4 maple plywood, and others were left as-is. This polyshade gave an OUTSTANDING finish on the maple, these areas look like the furniture came from a high-end furniture dealer. And the overcoats on the sections not covered by maple also colored well. All of the pieces look very expensive now. I topped the whole project off with new satin nickel knobs and pulls - everything looks high-end now, and the furniture is good for another 30 years!

True single coat!
This is the best combo stain/varnish I have used. It brushes on easily, and leaves few marks. Dries relatively slowly, (12-14 hours), so make sure you use it in a dust free environment. The Mission Oak is a deep, medium dark, beautiful gloss finish with a slight red shift. Bottom line, my favorite varnish.
