Love this cover!
This is my favorite cover at the moment. There are some things I wish they would change, like adding rise snaps and laundry tabs, but even without those things, I love it. There is a huge panel on the front to stick the applix to, so you can get a great fit. The back elastic is much more gentle than most covers. It has double leg gussets for containing ebf poo. It is roomy so there's no struggle to get your prefold to fit. I feel like it will fit my 9 lb 8-week-old for a while longer.

Not my favorite
My 14 month old has been cloth diapered from birth. We have 3 of these covers, and I would not buy them again. There are other covers on the market priced lower that work better.Specifically, the way the velcro on this diaper is arranged is problematic. The tabs tend to roll, and then scratch baby's thighs or tummy. The fit of this cover was very good for my daughter, and we never had leaks with this cover. But the velcro scratching is no fun for little ones.

A nice diaper cover, not perfect
The Imse Vimse covers are nice in that they are roomy enough for a fitted diaper, fit well around the waist & legs and will contain even big messes. They also hold up well in the wash; I've put them in the same sanitizing cycle as the diapers and dried them both on the line and in the dryer with good results. Their lightweight construction helps them to dry very quickly, too. The seams are smooth, nothing to scratch your diaperee's skin, and the cover is available in several styles & prints. However: the lack of laundry tabs on the fastening sides mean that you either need to re-fasten the soiled cover when placing it into the laundry pail (kind of a pain as this might require both hands), or deal with the resulting "laundry snake" when the loose hook & loop fasteners snag other items in the wash.Additionally, these come in separate sizes rather than incorporating the "growth snaps" used by some other brands; this means that you will need to purchase more than one set of covers as your diaperee grows.

scratches the skin, not durable, leaks
At first we were very happy with those diaper covers but with time we grew more and more disappointed and now I cannot imagine a worse cover! Why we don't like them:1) The biggest problem for us is that the velcro tab always scratches the gentle skin of our baby, so we always have to put a body on our girl and make sure the tabs are as far from the skin as possible. I tried to fix the problem myself by cutting and sewing the edges, but the material is just too rough and keeps on cutting into the skin of our daughter. Sometimes the scratches are so deep that the blood comes out!!!2) Approx after 3 months of intensive use the velcro tabs stopped sticking together! So they still scratch our baby but they dont hold the diaper closed!3) They leak! They don't hold more than 1 pee. They get completely soaked easily and the clothes get all wet as well! They do have some positive sides I must admit:1) They are soft and breathable, we never had a problem with Alida having a diaper rash or "green house" moisture effect on her skin.2) they fit great over fitted diapers and are very trim.3) the sizing is very "strechable". Since our daughter was 2 months we have used only NewBorn and Small size covers till this day (she is 7 months now). The newborn cover still fits her ok (Alida weighs 8 kg now).so there ARE some positive sides, but this scratching issue + the fact that they don't last more than 4 months (the tabs stop sticking)made us completely unsatisfied with the product. We move on to Thirsties Duo and Gen-Y covers.

Got a lot of use out of the newborn size!
We have been using the newborn size covers with GMD prefolds since our daughter was 2 weeks old and just under 10 pounds. She's now a 17 pound 6 month old and she has just grown out of them. The velcro makes them very adjustable and the leg gussets work better than most other covers that we tried. We're still using a few Imse Visme size small covers, and I think they'll fit for quite awhile longer. Most of our diaper stash now is Simple Cloth pocket diapers because they are cheap, but if I had the money to buy enough for daycare, we'd probably have only Isme Visme.

One of my favorite covers!
I have cloth diapered my daughter since birth, and I have tried several covers (Proraps, Bummis Super Whisper Wrap, Thirsties, Bumkins, Swaddlebees ABC wrap, and these Imse Vimse Soft covers). The Imse Vimse Soft covers and the Thirsties are my favorites. These covers have soft, stretchy elastic and leg gussets to ensure a good fit on skinny or chunky thighs (my daughter has had both at different stages!) and contain messes. I use them with a variety of fitteds and prefolds, and we have never had a leak. Sometimes I Snappi the prefold, but a lot of times I just trifold the diaper and lay it in the cover. It has a slight pocket up front to lay the diaper in, to help hold it in place. This occasionally results in poo getting on the cover, but the cover itself has never leaked. I especially like this cover because it is made of thin, pliable polyurethane laminate (PUL), so it is not thick and crinkly like some covers. The only slight downside to this cover is that it comes only in white, but we always put clothes on over the cover anyway, so that doesn't bother me a bit. (The Thirsties covers work great, too, and come in a rainbow of colors!). The diaper does not have laundry tabs, but I always just reattach the Velcro and turn the diaper inside out for laundering. It is so thin that it will line dry in very little time. We have had no problems with the covers retaining stains, and they have held up very well for the several months we've been using them. The Velcro isn't even pilly. One note, these covers do run large. My daughter is tiny, so she is still able to wear the newborn cover at 9 months (14.5 lbs), though she can also wear the small size now.
