This is a great, realistic cookbook with recipes my whole family enjoys. So many cookbooks look great, but when you go to make the recipes, they take forever or are unrealistic for the home chef. This book is filled with recipes that are practical, flavorful, healthy, and relatively quick to prepare. The book also provides a lot of variety so you won't get bored. Highly recommend!

Fall in love (or back in love) with cooking!!
This book is absolutely stunning & a total work of art!! All of the recipes are not only delicious, but they also require mostly pantry staples with simple methods, including one skillet/one pot meals, sheet-pan meals, & slow cooker/pressure cooker meals. Another bonus is that these recipes either are or can be modified to be paleo, W30, dairy-free, grain-free, & gluten-free. Whether you’re a new cook, someone who cooks on the regular, or just in a rut and needing a little inspiration, this is the book for you!

New Favorite Cookbook!!
We have cooked our way through Defined Dish and liked about 2/3 of the recipes. We had a harder time cooking through Comfortable Kitchen. But this one…oh my goodness it’s a goldmine of flavor!! Every single recipe is devoured by my family and we are excited to cook through the whole thing. We’ve noticed these recipes pack a little more spice/heat than her past recipes but in a good way. I also like how this cookbook has more commonly found pantry staples and isn’t super heavy on paleo, but always offers the options of how to adjust a recipe for dietary preferences. I also appreciate how the recipes are laid out. Instructions are more clear and the recipe ingredients are ordered by when you’re using them vs listing everything and then noting “divided”. It’s easy to follow, quick, and so so delicious!

Simple and Healthy
My whole family loves this cookbook. I have been cooking Alex’s blog and Instagram recipes for quite some time and have yet to try a failed recipe of hers. When she released this new cookbook, I decided to give it a try. I wasn’t sure if it’d be worth the money since she has so many recipes available for free; however, I am so happy with the contents of this cookbook. I have been cooking my way through it for the past couple of months. There are recipes from various cuisines— American, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, etc. I can honestly say that my family truly enjoys all of the recipes that have come out of this book. I especially love that each recipe in the book has a picture to go with it! There are some ingredients that you may not have in your pantry initially (fish sauce, tapioca flour, etc) but if you buy them, you’ll likely find them to reappear in another recipe. I love that Alex uses healthier alternatives to traditional ingredients (for example, tapioca flour instead of cornstarch) and avoids seed oils. We’ve already added several of the recipes in this book to our usual rotation! 10/10 recommend this book. I even bought it for my sister-in-law and my mom. It has become my new favorite gift to give people!!

Delicious Every Time
This is a FABULOUS cookbook. Simple, healthy ingredients, easy to follow instructions, and I love the images that follow each recipe so you have a visual of what the end product should look like. I’ve made about 20% of the recipes so far and each one has been really delicious. My top two so far are the tortilla soup and aromatic shrimp soup. I’ve followed Alex for a long time, and her third cookbook is another winner. Highly recommend!

The only cookbook you’ll need
Queen Alex has done it again and created a work of art with Dinner Tonight. I have all 3 of her cookbooks and while they are all amazing, this one stands out above the rest! Every recipe I have made is insanely delicious! They are easy and perfect for the busy mom or dad to whip up after work while your kids are hanging on your leg. The ingredients are easy to find and the instructions easy to follow. This is a cookbook that I will be gifting my friends and family and keeping forever. Do yourself a favor and buy this book! You won’t regret it.

Amazing, Simple and Healthy!
We absolutely love this cookbook. I am working my way through it and every recipe has been great! It is simple, easy and healthy. The portions are perfect and my husband loves it too!!

If you’re looking for an approachable yet extremely delicious cookbook, this is for you!
Alex has done it again! I immediately purchased this on pre-order as soon as she announced it and I’m so glad I did. Her books have become a staple in my kitchen, as well as other friends and family I have introduced to her. In fact, I ordered 5 extra copies to gift. As soon as it came in, I flipped through saying “omg this looks so good, I can’t wait to make this” on every single page. It was nearly impossible choosing which to make first, but recipe 1 was a total hit. These recipes all seem very approachable and quick, but unique and flavorful. I cannot wait to finish cooking my way through the rest of the book. I can’t recommend enough!

An excellent array of recipes!
Alex's books have come up as recommendations for me and I stupidly ignored it. I'm not sure why but I feel like I've been burned by boring cookbooks by very famous cooks. I think over time with experience you learn more about how to make a dish delicious, what works, what is lacking and what needs to be fixed. I have a lot of books where I have to make several notes on post its and it can get really frustrating when I need to modify nearly every other recipe. If it's a simple tweak, okay, fine. But if it's a mass overhaul and I'm ending up having to change the whole recipe, I feel so disappointed in the book and the money spent on it.Alex's previous book went down in price and I grabbed it with some hesitation. I felt like, okay, if it's not good I can return it or just put it on my shelf and not feel bad about the lost money at least. And I am SO glad I bought it.Alex's recipes are AMAZING! I absolutely love how she gives you options for gluten free, dairy free, whole 30. I don't go by any of those but I actually started to make some changes based on her recipe options.She KNOWS what she's doing when it comes to ingredients. I've made about 5+ recipes so far and each one has been great and turned out delicious. I have minor tweaks on my sticky notes but I am genuinely surprised at how well these dishes come together. How well the flavors complement one another.I would highly recommend this book and her previous cookbook if you are tired of the same old recipes that everyone else is providing. Alex is breathing new life into my meals and I absolutely love it.

Best cooking influencer out there
I've been following Alex since the early days on IG when I found her during my first attempt at a Whole 30 (maybe about 6 years ago?) Her recipes immediately became favourites that I have continued to return to, again and again. She knows how to add incredible flavour to all her recipes that make them all restaurant worthy - but for the most part, using simple, everyday ingredients. It's just a bonus that most of her recipes also have a strong focus on health and nutrition. Her other two cookbooks are great - and this one is the icing on the cake! I have already made several of these easy-to-prepare dinners (in some cases all in one pot/pan), and feel like a gourmet chef! I'm so "proud" to be a long-time follower - I feel like I "discovered" her, haha, and welcome any opportunity to sing her praises to anyone and everyone. She's the real deal! Buy this book and enjoy your "dinner tonight"!

So good.
Had this since December and have made about 12 recipes, and every one has been so good. Haven’t made more because the gouchujang recipes have been on repeat in my house, I can’t stop making them.

Alex always finds a way to make cooking approachable, enjoyable and delicious. Her book arrived today and I immediately was off to the grocery store to try my first recipe! We made the curry chicken skillet with sweet potatoes and YUM! We also made the one skillet lasagna which was super easy and will be on rotation in this house (TY for the sneak peek!).I have followed Alex for a few years on social media and her recipes do not disappoint. I am a proud owner of all 3 cookbooks and continue to refer back to them plus her website for inspiration.Highly recommend this book if you’re looking to try something new & healthy without sacrificing flavour.
