Texecom Premier Elite Kit 48-W Wireless With Keypad KIT-0001

Good product. Very descriptive keypad. Love it

I used to install Texecom kit for a number of years, so looked forward to these wireless kits. Sadly these do not give a great experience. The keypad is slow to respond, the PIR sensors are slow and often mean you're wandering around a room for a bit before the sensor reports you're there. Compare this to a hardwired setup from Texecom, and I cannot recommend it. For the first time with this brand for years, I'm looking to move away such us the experience I've had. Here are some of the issues: - Alarm triggered, code entered to silence. Internal sounder stops, keypad keeps sounding, can't reset it even though the display now shows it's reset. - Exit alarms far too easy to trigger, never had a problem with this before. - PIR's extremely slow to respond, even when coded to not go to sleep. - Keypad lights/screen go to sleep before the exit procedure completes so you cannot always see what it is doing. The one gem in the kit is the Micro contact. These are really discreet in size, work instantly and are a real credit to Texecom, so it's a real shame the PIR's aren't great. There may be software updates to fix some of these, but a lot of buyers will not have the ability to make these updates to the system.
