Love this new series!
It's the sidekicks time to shine! I had so much fun trying to solve the murder mystery alongside Cory and Jensen. Of course Shane Morton does such a fantastic job with all the little twists and surprises that I am usually always guessing wrong. Haha! Vicki Dean and Sheriff Hottie have taught them well though. I love Cory's sass and Jensen is such a sweetheart. I enjoyed the reference to the movie 9 to 5. I hope there are more mysteries to solve coming soon.

Too cute
I love the Drag Queen Detective series and this little spin off was delightful. Cory and Jensen play off of each other so well and I'm glad to see Cory doing well and coming into his own. The mystery was well done and the tension believable. I did have a little trouble with the name calling whether, as Cory said, it was meant affectionately or not and did not care for the character of Crystal who seemed particular abrasive and rude. Otherwise, a little gem and I would like to see more of these two characters in their own adventures. I did miss Victor and Harper though.

A New Series
Side Sleuths is based on Shane K. Morton's best selling Drag Queen Detective.Cory and Jensen get top billing and we get old friends from The Point Pleasant series. I loved that the established characters enabled more time for story building. A great new series, can't wait for the next!

Fun Cozy Mystery
I absolutely loved seeing Cory and Jensen get their adventure. Spun off from the main Drag Queen Detective series, Side Sleuths features Vic's best friend Cory, and his fiancee Jensen. Cory and Jensen travel to Point Pleasant to visit their friend, Blake, and get caught up in a murder mystery, involving a baking competition. Side Sleuths was everything I love about the Drag Queen Detective series and Shane's writing. It was very enjoyable seeing Cory and Jensen get to have their own adventure, and they were both great working together in his one. If you like cozy mysteries, with low to no angst with the main couple, this is a definitely perfect, and that's what I absolutely loved about it!

Murder, again
Cory and Jensen just want a vacation, but no! They are right in the wrong place to help solve the murder. They do the job, even without their besties.

Drag Queen Detectives: Side Sleuths
The Drag Queen Detective series continues to to entertain and amuse.I’m guilty (again) of setting aside some “me” time, immersing myself into the story and not coming out until I’ve finished it.In a slight departure from the rest of the series this book focuses on Cory, Vicky’s closest friend and Jensen, Sheriff “Hottie” Harper’s deputy.Whilst on a short vacation they are reluctantly dragged into helping solve the murder of a celebrity chef during a Reality TV baking contest being filmed where they’re staying. It’s light and fluffy like a classic Victoria Sponge, as expected all the Gay men are fit and gorgeous and the female characters are larger than life. There isn’t any Homophobia and any sexual activity takes place off-screen or more accurately off-page.Despite the absence of Vickie/Victor/Raven and her Sheriff boyfriend we still meet old acquaintances and of course new friends. The way this series has progressed we’re sure to meet them again in a later book, probably at the wedding of one of the various Gay couples where undoubtedly a mysterious murder or two will occur.I personally would like to see a reappearance of Ursula Mooley who reminds so much of different aspects of several Drag Queens I personally know.Musing:- 🤔 who knows she may even show up as the officiant at one of the surmised (on my part) weddings.
