Salice 106 Degree Silentia 9/16" Overlay Screw On Soft Close Cabinet Hinge CUP36D9 (2)

It is hard to find 9/16" hinges--most are 1/2." Fit perfectly in place of original non-soft close hinges. The soft close feature works great, but the 106° opening is a bit much. When the door swings open, rather quickly, the momentum puls on the hinges. I am concerned that eventually it may loosen the screws in the frame. Recommend holding the door and opening it gently.

I have a 20 year old model home with an amazing build but let me tell you the cabinets have crappy hardware. Randomly they will snap and break. I found these which are new and improved because they have plastic in the middle to prevent the snapping. We plan to redo the kitchen but I think we can save all the cabinets and we fixed all the hinges which brought them back to life!

This was a perfect replacement for the Salice SS342 hinge. Thank you to a previous commenter that pointed this out. Installation was easy, and adjustments were simple to make. Great product!

Ordered these for existing cabinets. Installed one and the door still slammed shut even when gently closing. The 106 degree opening is also overkill, as then the door was slamming into walls and adjacent surfaces. Some of my existing cabinets came with Salice s42 soft close which are amazing, and was hoping to match them, however these didn’t even look anything like them. Install was easy, but didn’t perform the function advertised. Will be returning.

These hinges work great. I am not very thrilled that they do not fit older Salice fitments when replacing my existing hinges. I was able to make it work with a little finesse and they are fine, but having consistency over generations of product could be better, possibly.The operation is very smooth and quiet.These are good quality, and I would recommend to a friend. Also I would buy these again if I needed replacements.

Soft close fits perfect on existing doors

It's pretty good but I think they are a bit on the expensive side. Definitely help the doors close more quietly.

The description of these hinges should be soft close, fast open. You may wonder why would anyone care about fast open? If your cabinet is next to a wall or a kitchen appliance fast open is bad because the mechanism that makes these hinges close slowly also force the doors open with very little effort when they get near max open position. That forces the cabinet door to hit adjacent items and damage the outside of the door. It also allows the doors to recoil and close back on the person opening. To fix that i ended up only using 1 hinge per door, depending on width and height. For the hitting things next to the door problem i will fix by going with something like 95 degree (if they make such a thing). In some places in the kitchen it doesn't matter, like the island, but cabinets near a wall or appliance prepare to repair your handles or do some touch-up paint. I am returning some of these. I can't see this recoil problem being design intent but rather a design flaw.
