I am very pleased with these tap covers. My photo shows the newly installed tap covers, with the old tap covers and valves lying on the wash basin. Here is what I liked about the new tap covers: - Their quality is excellent. Very good quality chrome plate (on brass, so far as I could tel). - The style is traditional, exactly what was needed for my traditional style bathroom. - The covers have flats so that they can be removed with a suitable open-ended spanner. The old covers had no flats, so they had to be gripped with water pump pliers to undo them for maintenance, inevitably damaging their finish. - They have traditional valves using rubber tap washers. My water supply is at high pressure and ceramic valves make lots of noise due to turbulence within the tap. The valves supplied operate in complete silence, which is a valuable quality so far as I am concerned. The covers were quick and easy to mount. I made sure to apply a touch of silicone grease to the threads to ensure that they could be easily removed years in the future if and when the tap washers need replacement. In my case, the old covers could be removed easily but if your old covers are stuck in place because of corrosion, particularly likely if the old covers are made of zinc alloy, you will need to apply significant force using water pump pliers to remove them.

Delivery was fine, but having the taps fitted, we found the hot tap to be faulty. But we await the replacement, which has been agreed upon with no fuss,

I looked for a product like this a few years ago and could only find very expensive items. The quality of this seemed very good and was easy to install once the existing items were un-installed. Looks really good. The taps turning are not too tight or loose. Only 1 slight negative to the product is the caps which label 'hot' or 'cold'. They seem to attach or detach with a single turn of the thread and don't seem to go reliably tight. A bit of plumbers paste or such like might resolve this. I'm reluctant to use a lot of force to tighten as i might scratch the chrome for little advantage.

No problems exactly as described easy installation works as it should.Excellent product.

After a year the tap washers will start sticking so you may have to turn the tap near full on before the water runs. When you open it up to change the washer you'll find the rust.
