I have only had umbrella a few days, so I can't really comment on how robust it's performance has been, however for the price it is very good value.I often have commercial headshot bookings, where I will go along to a client to update their staff headshots. Previously I have used a large led continuous light, which is great, but not really designed as a portable light, and the amount of equipment I have taken along has been a bit of a chore to manage single handed.I have now put together a much simpler, light weight solution using flash, and this brolly will be used with my main light source.The light is not as soft as I would like, however for the cost and convenience it is great. I will probably buy another as a back up, but for this price you can't go wrong

Nothing wrong with the umbrella itself, but it's awkward to put back into the carry pouch. I can see the pouch splitting or damaging the umbrella over time.

I attached a quick image to show that you can get nice results without much care. I was actually trying lighting my new background with different coloured gels and I thought I’d stick the mannequin head in front for interest. All I did was stick a speedlight inside this umbrella without any mucking around. I feel the quality of light was nice and soft.Just make sure you put the softbox/umbrella close to your subject if you want those smooth shadow transitions or pull it back for harder shadows. For the cost of this umbrella I think the results are great. I have a large diffusion umbrella with a detachable diffusion sheet but that takes more effort. The selling points of *this* product for me are:- easy setup- easy takedown- use speedlights or studio strobes- light weight- capable of nice quality light for such a small outlay and fast setupDefinitely recommended

this umbrella comes in a handy bag and is compact when down. when up it spreads light well without hurting peoples eyes!! The only thing id say is the end of the umbrella handle is just metal so I have covered it with a piece of foam so I dont hit my head on it! or more importantly someone else doesn't!

This is great value and works well with either a flash or strobe light. Can recommend although how loong it lasts has yet to be tested.

Fitment pole on the umbrella is so bent i can't attach it to the light unit , sadly disappointed as it looks like it would be a great addition to my studio

This defuser is excellent no fuss in getting up an active really glad I bought this and price is good to boot

Ideal para suavizar la luz de flashes o leds, super rapido de utilizar desde la posición de recogido, nada que ver con montar una ventana de luz, aunque sea de las plegables. El gran diametro y el recorido de la luz que rebora en el fondo reflectante y se suaviza en la tela difusora consiguen una iluminación muy suave y de gran calidad plastica. Para mi el mejor accesorio para improvisar un estudio para retrato o naturalezas muertas.

I have used this umbrella with both a strobe and a flash for portraits and it works well and diffuses very nicely for it's size. Opens and closes easily and fits back into the sleeve with no problem. Good buy.

I have a full in home photo studio with strobes and some high end gear as I work part time as a photographer. I am just beginning to figure out the joys of using speedlites on location rather than shlepping the strobes all over the place. But not being sure whether I am fully commited to the multiple speedlite idea, I didn't want to commit to really expensive modifiers to go with them. So, I did a quite a bit of review reading and research and finally landed on this softbox umbrella.This is a great modifier. It is super easy to set up and break down and seems like it will hold up for a little while. I am not expecting a very long life from it if I use it extensively but at this price point I wouldn't expect it to last for years on end and you shouldn't expect that either. Camera gear is notoriously and ridiculously expensive so when I see something good that doesn't come with a premium pricetag I am grateful but I also put my expectations in line with the price. if this lasts years, I will be thrilled. If it lasts just a year I will be happy. If it breaks tomorrow I will come back and edit my review and let you know that.I set this up with a three speedlite ring (FWIW.... I spent very little on the mount for the ring and it was awful.... sometimes it pays to invest a bit more... the mount practically ruined the shoot) and it performed flawlessly giving nice even lighting and beautiful circular catchlights. A few days after that test shoot I used this thing with my studio strobes in a client shoot and again it performed beautifully rendering the sort of light one would want from this set up.BOTTOM LINE: for the price this is a remarkable piece of equipment that works with speedlites as well as studio strobes. I have no idea how long it will last but if it breaks early on in its life with me I will update this review. For now I think this is a great inexpensive alternative to more pricey modifiers if you are just getting started or want to test things out. Highly recommend.
