I never write reviews but had to share my experience with this product. I live in south Florida and keeping algae at bay has been a challenge this year. After months of constantly shocking my pool and bottles of Algeacide in addition to other balancing chemicals I still had a chronic algea growth that I couldn’t fix. I decided to try this product and couldn’t be happier. I did clear up the algae before I put the device in the pool and I have not added one chemical to the pool since. It’s been about a month . It looks better than it has in a long time. For me the investment was less than the price of the chemicals that I had purchased. I definitely recommend. The first photo is just a small section of the algae before and the second is with the device.

I don't always remember to add chlorine tablets to the floater, this device seriously helps pick up the slack. Our water is always clear with this device. I put it in at the beginning of the season and forget it. They last years, probably would go longer, but in full disclosure I forget to clean the iron device at the end of the season. Highly recommend for any pool owner.

This item is useless, the pool is still green and it takes more time to clean the iron cylinder. Smell is bad when cleaning and the brush is junk. DO NOT BUY

We have battled algae on and off for months in our pool, which made water clarity impossible. After 2 weeks of this floating in it, our pool looks amazing! We have gone from using harsh chemicals every few days to a practically maintenance-free pool, saving us a lot of money. LOVE THIS!

This does keep water out unlike the others, but for some reason the copper levels in pool aren't increasing like they should and did with the others. The spring is also very uneven so your copper iode will touch it and make the unit not work so you have to Jerry rig that to fix it. I would recommend trying one of the others out there personally. I do enjoy the cleaning solution though, you only need about 1/3 of what they suggest and it's makes cleaning the copper iode much easier.

It seems to be doing exactly what it is supposed to do. A friend told me about this so I decided to go ahead and try it out and I am so very happy I did.

Water has stayed clear. Reduced my chlorine consumption by 90% and I've gone a month in-between checking ph. No issues are good issues.

I bought this with some speculation that it would work and I was surprised with the result. I have an older pool in south Florida and it hasn't been resurfaced in 15 years. The steps and sides are rough and it was a nightmare keeping the pool free from algae. Following the included instructions my pool has now been algae free. All I do is once a week dump a small yogurt container of baking soda and one pound of shock. No brushing, no scrubbing, this thing iswonderful. I do keep it tethered to the sunny side of the pool as its powered by the sun.
