Outstanding coverage and speed, a must-have for any UniFi setup
After switching my Virgin router into modem mode and moving to a UniFi setup, this U6+ access point has been a game changer. The speed, range, and reliability are miles ahead of what my old router could deliver. Every room in the house now has a strong, stable signal, and even multiple devices streaming or gaming at once cause no slowdown. Setup was quick using the UniFi app, and once connected, it has been completely rock solid. The performance of WiFi 6 really shows here — low latency, great throughput, and consistent stability. It also looks sleek when mounted, with the typical clean Ubiquiti design that fits nicely into any modern setup. I love how much control and customization UniFi gives you. You can create separate networks, set bandwidth limits, monitor traffic in real time, and fine-tune security and access settings. It is genuinely fun to tweak and optimise everything, although maybe that’s just me. While you do need to invest in a gateway or controller to unlock its full potential, the result is a professional-grade home network that easily outperforms ISP equipment. Highly recommended for anyone serious about performance, reliability, and smart home connectivity.

Amazing WiFi upgrade over your ISP-supplied router
This little thing is an amazing upgrade over your average ISP-supplied router. It delivers a super strong, focussed and stable WiFi signal. Since I’ve installed it I’ve had zero devices dropping out. Before then it was a daily occurrence. There are some important requirements and considerations you need to be aware of though. You will need a Unifi gateway (which you probably already know) to support this AP. You’re probably also going to need a couple of these to provide adequate coverage through a typical UK 3-4 bedroom property. Ideally for best performance they need to be mounted on the ceiling (although you can mount them on a wall or use a desktop stand). Power and connectivity (POE) is provided via a single Ethernet cable connected to a POE switch or your gateway, so consider how you’re going to run Ethernet cable from there to where you intend to install this. Otherwise, buy one. You won’t be disappointed. Setup in the Unifi console is a breeze - it gets auto discovered as soon as it’s connected to your network before automatically updating its firmware if required. It’s then just a single click to adopt it. It looks really cool and compact with a soft blue glow light (which you can turn off if you wish). Five stars, Unifi.

Perfect for my network
I've gone through numerous Wi-Fi routers over the years, always ending up disappointed—either the software was too complicated or too limited. With Ubiquiti, that frustration is a thing of the past. I currently have the Cloud Gateway Ultra and a Ubiquiti PoE switch working seamlessly behind it. The UniFi software ties everything together beautifully. It's user-friendly, even for someone without a deep technical background, and offers a wide range of configuration options. Everything is conveniently displayed on the dashboard, making network management straightforward. Specifically, the U6+ Access Point is a game-changer. You can: Customize VPN Access: Decide which devices connect to which VPN. Control Internet Access: Easily enable or disable access, which is great for managing kids' screen time. Set Up IoT Wi-Fi: Create a dedicated network for IoT devices and isolate them from the rest of your network for added security. The ability to see and control all of this through the dashboard makes it incredibly efficient. However, keep in mind that you'll need a Ubiquiti gateway to fully utilize these features. After experiencing how well these components integrate, I'm planning to transition my entire setup to Ubiquiti gradually. It's a reliable, well-designed system that just works. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a robust, scalable networking solution!

Reliable and stable WIFI connections
Five! Yes.. This is an excellent WAP, installed in a domestic situation with a WFH office just out the back. The signal to the office and about the house is good, with no areas of signal loss. The original unfortunately retired after a good few years of 24/7 service. Falling back on the sky router WIFI showed how much better the signal and speed from the Ubiquity was. I urgently purchased this U6 as a replacement. Plugging in the ethernet POE cable and fitting to the ceiling took 10 minutes. POE, just one cable, saves running lot of extra wires and multiple power adapters. Nice stable WIFI about the house again! I disabled the sky router WIFI was soon the U6 was confirmed to be working. The shallow profile with smooth rounded-over lines make these blend-in to a white ceiling, leaving no dark shadows. They're less prominent than a smoke detector.

Easy to set up, if a little pricey
Decided to go the Ubiquiti route (almost) across the board for my VLAN setup. Although it is potentially more expensive than other kit around I was drawn to the clear management interface. I was a complete novice at the start of the process and have had a very steep learning curve over a couple of weeks setting up VLANS serving the infrastructure, CCTV, IoT and Trusted networks, both wired and wireless and sorting out the intricacies of changing my cameras to feed the CCTV NAS. These units are effectively plug and play on the PROMAX 16- I have 2 broadcasting the same networks and they work seamlessly together (one downstairs and one upstairs). In my previous setup I was simply using a common network for everything (both wired and wireless). The ISP router wireless unfortunately does seem to throw out a stronger signal than these overall, but left patchy reception in a couple of bedrooms. Overall I'm happy to get more even coverage upstairs and down, with the extended network protection of setting up various VLANS to prevent intrusion through any IoT or CCTV device.

Rock solid high performance access point for SOHO, SME or home use
I don't normally write reviews however having not seen a great deal for this new product I thought I would. It's very easy to install with a handy drill hole template. Simple to configure standalone or adopt in a network controller using the mobile app. Excellent performance reaching max FTTC speeds on our line. I am a big fan of Unifi gear as it has been designed by ex-Apple employees who left and set up Ubiquiti. Coverage is fantastic above and below AP placement and in the picture, this was on the ceiling of the ground floor hallway in the centre of the property. Great signal in all rooms above. If you have 3 storeys I would recommend installing on the 2nd floor ceiling and depending on the size of the property you may need 2 of these. It makes sense to buy these for new installations instead of the older generation AC range as these support higher throughput rates and future gigabit/multigigabit networks.

Exactly as you’d expect.
Not much to be said really, it’s UniFi from Ubiquiti and if you’re reading this you already know what you’re bought in to. I replaced an AC Lite with this 6+ and the quality difference is noticeable. This 6+ is heavier, sturdier, and slightly smaller. Excellent network throughput.

Faster than previous Unifi AP and integrates with Unifi OS well
More bandwidth than the AP-Pro I had been using. Speed has been good and other AP's are happy with this as a Mesh Parent AP. Unifi OS is great when it works, and can be a pain for some re-configurations. There always seems to be a different way to integrate new hardware that I don't perform the first time through. Unit did integrate, and has been performing well for a few weeks.

Access point affidabile
