As soon as I opened this container of dried mint flakes, I could smell the powerful aroma of peppermint. The flavor is strong, making it great as a mint tea by itself, or blended with other teas. I recently tried pine tea, and tried some with this mint added. That blend is now one of my favorites! I don’t normally cook with mint, but these have a fresh flavor that I believe would work well with any recipe calling for mint.

I have been using this in tea. I have a LOT of tea in my house. I actually have an entire cabinet dedicated entirely to tea, and it has overflowed into the cabinets around it. I like to add some mint to plain black tea, both hot and cold. This has been helping me with exactly that. I just add some to the infuser with the tea leaves, and I end up with minty tea. If you want to do this, but you only have tea bags, you can either just stick the tea bag in an infuser with some of this, or just stick the tea bag in the water alongside this in an infuser. There are other options too, such as cheesecloth or whatever.My tea tastes minty. That's the whole reason I wanted this in the first place, and it fulfills that. It smells minty too. It actually smells pretty close to the tea my grandmother used to make with the mint that grew in my grandfather's garden. That's surprising, considering that was fresh and this is dried. Of course, I'm trying to remember 30+ years ago.
