This is a nicely made small ball head. It compares very well to a Giotto I bought years ago for a whole lot more. The clamps work very quickly - a quarter turn from wide open to full lock. It's well suited to point-and-shoots, smaller mirrorless cameras with light lenses, and mobile phones (by adding an appropriate clamping adapter.) Stick it on an inexpensive tripod, or a gorilla pod-type unit, and you'll have a great stable platform for mobile phone photography. It also has a bubble level attached so you can get the horizon level.

Excellent build quality and finish, with very smooth control and sturdy mechanics. I've put around 4lbs of combined equipment weight on this rig without any trouble. I particularly appreciate the separate azimuth/rotation lock, which is really useful for finessing the position of the camera, or rotating it out of the way for convenience.

I have a few Small Rig products & they are all very good design & quality. This one has one major flaw that is hard to believe it got by them? See the Image. When going vertical with the level bubble on top to level the camera the bottom of the plate hits the top of the tripod mount & you can see how far off from 90 degrees it is. An easy fix as I took an 1/8" aluminum plate, cut it to a 1 1/2" diameter circle & drilled a 1/4" hole in it. Now it easily clears the tripod mount. I should not have to do this however, Small Rig, what up?

I got 2 for my GoPros, I setup them up for b-roll and they are really easy to setup and adjust. I love their small profile that they fit anywhere when you are on the go

My camera fell off tripod after the clamp on this failed. Small rig is amazing and this is the first failure I’ve had with any product. These are just very small.

Great product, it works perfectly. The controls are intuitive. And very positive feeling. Unit is well made and I’m sure I’ll be using this for many years. Would definitely purchase again
