Decided to order these the same time as the tap so I knew the right type to get. What can I say they are machined well, brass, Qtr turn with ceramic inserts.

Perfect fit for a Bristan Java bath tap. No more drips. The valves came with fitting instructions and was easy to install.

With so many cartridges of multiple dimensions to chose from, you can't always get the exact one, and need to try it. Be very careful how you try it! DON'T use a spanner, any mark on the cartridge and you can't get a full refund! How you can screw the cartridge in tight enough to withstand the water pressure, I don't have a clue.

Although these cartridges were for the Bristan Java bathtap, my tap was an earlier version (2006) which these cartridges didn't fit. After I'd requested a return label, the seller get in touch about the problem and recommended a different cartridge (not offered through Amazon) which did seem a better match. I ordered this from them directly and pleased to say it is now fitted and works.
