LOUD - FEATURE HEAVY - GREAT SOUND FOR MOVIES... OPTICAL IN.
THIS IS NOT A WATER PROOF OR RESISTANT STEREO! I say this because i bought it to use as our summer backyard-movies sound system... But, I set it up for the movie, then strike it down and put it away after the movie. The sound is Great (Everything I write should be prefaced with "For this Price") Little L, R Front and Surround Speakers... and a Center Channel Speaker. They are very light - so people may equate that with low build quality... but, bottom line is they reproduce quite well. Nice and Flat. The cords are attached to the speakers, so be careful not to damage them. The cords are very long for their positioning - You shouldn't really place Front Speakers too much further than the attached cords - and the Surround speakers were more than sufficient to place at head level about 4' behind the viewing area... (even with me snaking the left speaker wire alongside the right, to avoid people tripping). Has optical in - I split out the Digital Audio / Picture from my MBP to the Speakers and the Video Projector, The MacBook Pro instantly recognised the Speakers as an Output - once connected via optical. We watched "Saving Private Ryan" from an Amazon Digital download to test it... Very good. Surround Mix translated well - Center / Front Channel Dialog was pretty clean and not muddy even in loud booming explosions and Effect-heavy Dialog- mixed scenes. We did all this outside in the backyard - at like 25% - Not sure how well it holds up at super- loud volumes - Our neighbours wouldn't appreciate us testing that - but, at the very loud volume we watched the movies, the sound was very clear and clean. I have only used it for movies and did a quick Bluetooth test - just to make sure it worked - it did. Small But BIG things: Came with all the cabling - which in itself is cray for companies these days - (even the optical!) It's active , Of course, so No Need for a whole Stereo System. The Subwoofer/ Brain has a bright LED Display - which is super helpful in the dark of playback The remote is great - (I do wish it worked better from all angles) - Projectors "know" that you may be sitting behind it, and have sensors in front and back...or with wide range... When you are setting this speaker up from the back, you will have to go to the front to get the remote to respond. Other that that - GREAT BUY for the PRICE... (For watching Movies) - If your main use is going to be listening to "Dark Side of the Moon" at high volumes - I am not sure how it will hold up... You will keep looking for something to let you down and explain why it's so cheap... but, for me and my purposes...so far, so good. Hope that helps.

Amazing packaging
I loved this item but it won’t work for me so I’m shopping with the same company to go bigger. 700 watts sounds great and for the price it’s a steal! I loved how easy it was to set up, very user friendly. The only issue I had was the length of wire included for the front right and left speakers. Another great quality that I loved was it was shipped in a double cardboard box and very secure with styrofoam, all items had a location to avoid damage in shipping. I highly recommend this company and products. My decision is go with the 1200 watts or 1400 watts. Hope this helps in your search efforts.

Part clanking around during unboxing
I'm in the beginning stage of unboxing and speaker sounds like a screw or something is loose inside speaker. After delivery was extended, I'm not sure whether to continue with install or return. I'll wait for feedback from The Big A. I'm giving two stars of now. They look nice and it's for the PC, so I'm sure it's plenty good. We'll have to see what takes place and how they operate. I won't be happy if I have to extend rca cables, as that will up the overall installation price. I think 13 Ft is a little on the short side. I will see how they sound. So we are surprised. The sound is more than enough for a 15x15 room. You are not going to rattle the windows of the neighbors, but the clarity at a high volume is surprising. We were going to go with A Harmon Kardon Receiver and some studio speaker, but this is definitely adequate for PC Gaming. It's actually over kill. My son being young and his first stereo system, he is happy, as should and teenager be happy with this entry level system. I was happy to see him unbocing and beginning the install. Good system to learn on also. That being said I was surprised at the frequency range and the level of base that was hitting. We are happy with price and functionality coupled with the systems level and clarity of sound. It's worth buying. Cons: Rca cables are short. 13ft is not enough to go from system, up wall, across back of room to back speakers. This said, you will need extensions for speakers most likely for proper surround sound. I just hope we don't run into attenuation issues. Cables are budget.

Completely Misleading Product. Fake 5.1 Inputs and Missing Features.
I bought this system because it shows a full set of six RCA inputs on the back labeled “DVD AUDIO INPUT” for FL, FR, SL, SR, Center, and Sub. Anyone looking at that would assume it supports real 5.1 surround from a PC or a DVD player. It looks like the system is built for true positional audio. That is not what I got. Here is what really happened. The RCA ports exist, but this unit cannot use them. The feature that activates those ports is not in the system at all. The firmware is completely missing the DVD input mode that the manual tells you to select in order to use the 5.1 RCA inputs. The manual literally lists these input modes: AUX, USB, DVD, FM, BT, Optical, Coaxial, and ARC. My unit does not have DVD or ARC anywhere in the input cycle. I checked every mode myself. The only modes that actually appear on the display are OPL, dU27, USB, AU27, COA, A+C, FM, and BT. That is the full list. The manual clearly does not match the real product. Because this unit does not have DVD mode, the 5.1 RCA inputs do absolutely nothing. You can plug in every cable correctly and you will get silence. The ports are printed on the back of the system, but the internal hardware never activates them. They are basically decorative. The product listing suggests real 5.1 support, but what you actually get is stereo only unless you use optical with a Dolby encoder. Most PCs do not have Dolby Digital Live, so this is not useful for gaming or anything that requires real positional surround. It looks like Bobtot uses the same back panel design on several different models. Some of those models really do support analog 5.1. Some do not. The one I received does not, even though the ports and the manual make you think it does. The manual and the device do not match each other. The description and the device do not match either. This is misleading and confusing. It gives buyers the impression that the system has full 5.1 analog functionality when it actually does not. The ports, the manual, and the product description do not match the real abilities of this unit. If you want true 5.1 from a PC, do not buy this. It does not work the way it is advertised. False advertisement + Deliberately defective equipment.

Redemption?
I bought another 2 years later and its better. no problems,(speaker doesn't get as hot now) sleeker remote and better packaging. 4 star for the quality and plus 1 for not letting the product die. I can say with some confidence your gonna get what you buy. ( old review2 star)(It's decent for music the sound system works great although i got a speaker that wasn't properly soldered together where one of the leads was not connected (this picture is ofc after i fixed it) which is just poor quality control. Thankfully a roommate had a solding iron. But out of the box having your center speaker not work there is nothing to describe something more disappointing their customer service reads like it was written by chat gpt. Pros: 1. Sounds great for the price It comes with different cables 2. Everything functions on the system properly Cons: 1. The lack of price is equal to the construction of them. They are solid but you might get a speaker not wired properly 2. The subwoofer gets fairly hot over an hour of use)

Big sound, budget price
I wasn't expecting much when I first bought this unit. I figured that at a low price it wasn't going to sound great but it proved me wrong. Installation is very straightforward. Connect the speakers, connect your audio source(s) and away you go. For this review, I am using the HDMI ARC from a TV. Rear speakers have a decent length to them. I set the audio output on the TV and the input on the receiver to the ARC and that's it, done. Sound quality is very good. The sound was fairly rich, not "flat" like you typically see in some budget speakers. The woofer puts out a nice deep bass that thumps your floors. Remote isn't too complicated, but at least for a TV using ARC, once you set it up to your liking you don't really need it again; the TV does the controlling for you unless you're switching sources. The speakers themselves aren't that big so they're pretty easy to put into a spot that isn't obtrusive. I've been using this for over a year now and I'm very happy with this purchase, highly recommended, it's an excellent budget surround system.
