READ THIS BOOK! This excellent book clearly demonstrates the link between goal setting (and attainment) and self love. Nothing could make more sense, in my experience so on the face of it, the book's purpose seemed obvious. But it's worthy of a thorough and thoughtful read because of the depth it goes into on topics such as: setting SMART goals, aligning your goals with your personal values, addressing negative self talk along the way to achieving goals, tracking progress by using milestones and applying self-love and self-compassion along the way.Although self-love and self-compassion are related, the author explains the subtle differences and shows us how to apply them in our daily lives. This includes challenging our own negative assumptions, recognizing that our potential is forever expanding when we make the time for self-reflection and adopt a growth mindset. Doing these things, plus a few more outlined in the book, certainly does lead to self-love, in my experience.Not only did the content of this book ring true for me, but I also enjoyed the tone which was clear and direct, yet gentle. I also feel it contained the right balance of expert advice and case studies to be 100% credible. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Whether you're struggling to grasp the notion of self-love, or goal setting, or you just need a few healthy reminders, this is the book for you!

Fab book
I think it is so important to have these kind of books as we can often forget to love ourselves as we are so concentrated on ensuring helping other. It has helped me to take a step back and start to take care of myself again. The exercises are great and really help you to refocus. The book teaches the importance of self-care and kindness and not to beat yourself up over the smallest of things.The book has helped me to create achievable goals to focus on progression in my life. Just what I needed

A balanced text
This book will be the answer to many who undoubtedly will find that the answer, at least in part, of their problems is the lack of self-love. Once they realise that self-love is not selfish love or self-indulgence, they will be in a better head space. The exercises are helpful opportunities for self-exploration and self-compassion; an easy-to-read compassionate text that is useful indeed.

Very accessible guide
This is probably one of the better self-help books I have read. It is comprehensive, filled with examples to aid what’s being discussed, and not one, but several examples that between them can be relatable to the reader. It doesn’t use difficult technical language, making it very accessible, and it isn’t pretentious. It’s also a book to dip in and out of. As such, it is a complete guide in a short, but detailed, read. Some of the exercises suggested are easy to do and make for a useful guide all around.

Self love book
This is healing book for anyone that needs to improve their self worth. I like that it also includes real inspiring stories that gives the reader motivation. The exercises throughout the book also kept me engaged. For me, it’s the kind of book that you read over and over it’s a a part of my well-being ritual now. Thank you to the author

Very motivating
I’m in a place in my life where it’s very important for me to have my eye on the prize, so I found the first 2 chapters about goals and goal setting very helpful. Also there isn’t a person who doesn’t struggle with negative thoughts every now and then. Mindset is very important to keep negativity out and achieve your goals. This book provides some good CBT techniques to help with that.
