BLUE GINKGO Kitchen Compost Bin [5L] – Filter-Free, Odor-Tight Countertop Food Waste Pail with Handles (Made in Korea, White)

This counter top compost bin is stylish and really practical. The bluey colour goes perfectly in my kitchen. Good size, holds enough without taking up too much room. No smell (but it is Autumn - the real test will be next Summer). The model I went for has a handle on the outer container and one on the inner container. They seem well made and suitable for their use. The inner container is a good design, any liquid drains through to the bottom. I’ve found it easy to empty and clean. Although more expensive than my previous OXO bin, I think this one is better designed, so worth it! So far, only positives…!

This is the ONLY kitchen compost bin that makes sense to me, as it allows liquids to drain! The lid seals tight, so there are no smells. The colander is very easy to clean. The quality is excellent. The design is compact and attractive. It's a win on all fronts. Buy. It. Now.

Looks good is just the right size, the last thing you want is some large bin on your worktop. It's easy to clean. For us just perfect to nip down to the compost bin and tip out. We only put in veg peelings, green waste. No cooked stuff or citrus and definitely no meat! That all goes in the council food recycling bin.

It is neat and sturdy, easy to clean.

I thought this was a little pricey but it's a well made little bin and just right for one.

Needed a new caddy for food waste in our lovely new kitchen. This fit the bill perfectly. Great choice of colours, the blue is a great match and looks very stylish on the worktop. Good size and easy to clean and handle. I love it

I bought this as it matches perfectly with our new kitchen. Its not the largest food bin on the market, but is on the plus side perfectly fine as easy to wash and clean in between using.

This does what it says on the tin. It’s a little bin for your composer. The inner basket keeps food waste airfares and liquids drip to the bottom but it is a bit gross. I probably won’t buy one with an inner basket again. I expected the lid to seal but it doesn’t it just sits on top, and there is no way to lock it like other baskets. It is fine but I think there is probably items with better features available around the same price range. Colour is nice though and the reason I bought the item over others.

We are so happy with this purchase. The delivery time wasn't Prime dates but I think that it was worth the wait especially for the price. This bin was more reasonably priced than some of the other compost bins. It's exactly as shown in the picture and it is the perfect size to fit in our gallon trash can. The handle is a perfect "hook" so that it can hang in our trash can and saves us space. I also like that it has a drain so if it leaks it'll be easy to clean. The lid is pretty secure and has so far kept the scents locked in.

I really like this compost bin. The only thing I'd change is the handle grip on the inner liner basket. It shoud be sturdier and more comfortable. It's what I'd describe as a "half handle". If it would a full handle (circumfrance is completely round in the handle, it would be perfect when removing the inner liner basket when it has contents The other recommendation is it would be great if it had a lid that you can open and close and even remove when washing. I find the lid to be very secure but most often difficult to remove when you're tossing something into the compost bin. I have to remind myself to remove the lid first then toss. I think this is because I became spoiled by another product I had which has an open and close lid. Having said this, the secure lid ensures any bad scent is locked in.These are minor points only. I really like that is is compact, nice looking and I love that it has that inner liner basket to drain any compost liquid. Sometimes due to room temperature, the compost bag I place in the bin starts to decompose quickly and compost liquid ends up in the bottom of the bin. With this style of compost bin I can strain the "liquid gunk" out before I dump everything into a new compost bag. The carry handle is great, and the bin is extremely easy to clean.All in all, I thnk this product is great.

Nickel je suis ravie de ce composte il garde bien au sec avec la passoire et a une bonne capacité qui nous tient la semaine ! J'équilibre avec des morceaux de boîte d'oeuf mais il n'y a pas d'odeur, pas de moucherons et il se manipule très facilement !

Sehr schöner Biomülleimer, sehr leicht in der Handhabung, gute Größe, leicht zu reinigen. Der Deckel schließt ebenfalls gut, somit werden Obstfliegen erfolgreich ferngehalten. Sehr empfehlenswert.
