Malco Modes Zooey Luxury Chiffon Adult Petticoat Slip Adjustable

This petticoat fills out a vintage or retro knee-length skirt in a flattering way, avoiding the theatrical look of a petticoat that is too full. I wasn't looking for a costume, just a refined look for a day dress. It sways nicely and doesn't make noise with movement like a netting-based one will do. It's soft and comfortable, and the adjustable length and waistline is a really nice feature. I think the sizing is just right (I'm normally a small in clothing, and a small fits well with this item). The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the price, but the quality pays off. It's a good value.

This petticoat May be pricier than others but well worth it. Malco Modes is known for their exceptional quality. This is my first & now understand why. I have had inexpensive, cheaply made ‘costume’ type petticoats before & the stitching always unravels (big stitches) plus they scratch & never deflate. I have worn the Malco Modes one a few times now & have washed it. I bought the style that didn’t have as much poof since I am short. It seemed huge when I first wore it but after washing, it calmed down. The material is so soft, length was as described in chart, it stretches around waist so check measurements. Every gal needs to splurge on a quality petticoat if you wear circle type skirts plus there are so many beautiful colors to choose from. I am not disappointed!

Fast delivery!Excellent product--love the slip. I'm 5'2" 180# & ordered extra large. Senior lady with senior waist line=snug but fine. Length below knee & at "decreace" just below calf. Excellent length for me.I feel like a teenager -- had one just like it in light pink. This ivory is in fact ivory not yellow. Good neutral color. Ordered another different style in black @ will receive tomorrow. So soft & lady-like = no net to scratch & stiff.

I ordered this petticoat to wear under a vintage-inspired bridesmaid dress at a wedding. I prefer to wear petticoats a couple of inches below my waist, which works best with my body type. I therefore ordered the XL with my upper hip measurements in mind. It arrived packed in a small bag, and sprung to life as soon as the packaging was removed. I imagine this thing would travel very well in a compression bag.Pros:--Fills out the full circle skirt on my dress enough to give a nice silhouette, but not enough to be exaggerated or costumey.--Soft material makes my sensitive skin happy--Lace edging adds feminine touch--Adjustable elastic waistband easy to manage and gives the garment more flexibility.Cons:--Elastic stretches a little too easily, which means it has to fit pretty snugly in order to stay up. I will be adding extra buttonholes to the elastic so that I can adjust it a little smaller. I recommend ordering a size with the lowest waistband measurement at least 5 inches smaller than the location where you want the waistband to sit on your body, especially if you plan to wear it below the waist. In hindsight, perhaps I should have ordered the large instead of XL.--Adjustable length means you can remove the elastic and re-insert it lower down on the petticoat. While this is great in theory, if one uses this feature, one is left with excess fabric above the waistband which tends to bunch up and add bulk. Also, the lower elastic pockets are sewn a bit too narrow, making it difficult to re-insert the elastic lower down. I decided to roll the waistband instead. This must be done at least twice, otherwise the slippery material will unroll, and the petticoat will go back to its full length.Neutrals:On a petite person (I'm just over 5'2") this is a tea length petticoat.The multiple layers of synthetic material do retain heat, so if you plan to be outside for long in a hot climate, be prepared to sweat. On the other hand, if you need warmth, this could be a good thing.Even with a few flaws, I like this petticoat and I am looking forward to wearing it with the dress, and hopefully with other vintage-inspired outfits in the future.

Love this style, it adds just enough poof under most of my skirts without being bulky. This is my fifth Zoey from Malco Modes. The fabric and lace are soft and beautiful and these are well-made pieces that will last years. The red lace on this one is a lighter red, not quite as dark as pictured, but still a very true red that will go with most red dresses or skirts. Totally recommend!

This is possibly my new favorite article of clothing! I have worn cheaper petticoats before, but after being disappointed by 2 orders, I decided to invest in higher quality. Now that I have worn this one from Malco Modes, I know what a petticoat is supposed to be like, and I don’t ever want to wear another cheap one! The chiffon is very light, soft, and quiet, and it twirls beautifully. The lace is also a really nice touch. Although this petticoat is less full than some other styles from this brand, it still adds more volume than cheaper ones made with stiffer netting. I wore this under a 50’s style swing dress, and although it was just a little too short to show at the bottom like I wanted, it still showed when I danced. It does show a little under some of my vintage dresses, but I have just a couple that are too long.

I chose this item to wear under my 1950's wedding dress. The color was right on, but I wish the seams were more secure.

loved it, however, way too pouffy for me. Wish it only had one layer. Very soft and very well made. They even give you a small instrument to size it with. As others have said, well worth the price.

Sitzt hervorragend (Größe S für 38) und stärkt ganz leicht ein 50er Sommerkleid. Die stützende Wirkung reicht für mich absolut aus. Die Verarbeitung ist, wie erwartet, perfekt. Einmal Malco, immer Malco.
