Hotpoint C00259409 Washing Machine Door Handle Kit, White

Just as I expected, Good Quality original part to fit the Hotpoint HF8D393 contains the Plastic handle that will have broken on the original, the Metal Hook and a Spring, also contained the pin that holds it all together.Plenty of Videos online to make it look easy but it is a fiddly job to fit unless you remove the door and have it on your lap when you are trying to assemble the parts and fit the pin.Good luck getting your underpants out of the washing machine as I guess that you are reading this because the door is not opening!The way to get it open on the Hotpoint HF8D393 is to use a length of fishing line to put into the gap around the door and then use it like a cheese cutting wire pulling both ends of the line from the hinge side of the door, eventually the line will pull the hook lock towards the hinges and the door will open - then you can use this part to fix the door!

Good price and so far so good quality part. These handles are the same on many models and I have lost count how many have broken in the past. Built in guaranteed failure so keeps the engineers busy I guess, 2 minute fit by basic DIY'er so good result.
