Interesting but not entirely convinced
The book is well written and interesting. It does raise a question when the author is ex-navy : would it be accepted in army/navy when non-officers said to officers that they don't agree ?The truth is somewhere in the middle, I know.Worth the read as part of your own reflection on leadership.

Is this book a workbook or a renamed original?
I am a bit confused with this book on receipt as I bought it to accompany the book "turn your ship around" that my son already has. I assumed this would be a workbook with exercises/projects etc.However on receipt of the workbook it says under the title "previously published as 'turn your ship around'. So is the workbook the same book (in which case I will need to return it) or is it truly complementary?

Interessante ma non originale
Il testo è chiaramente un prodotto di Speed Learning impostato secondo un pragmatismo anglosassone che pare un po' banale. Personalmente avrei apprezzato valutazioni forse accademiche ma anche più profonde e sagaci. Visto poi che la base teorica è la matrice "Conosco/Non Conosco" e "Dico/Non Dico", per trovare idee davvero originali mi sarei aspettato l'esame dello spazio "Non Conosco" dove tanti manager si trovano ad operare (magari dovendo dare direttive nel quadrante "Non Conosco/Dico") e a valutare i collaboratori.

Good book fast reading
This is a good book and fast reading. His ideas are right on the mark to get the best out of a staff, and improve morale and dedication. However, you have to the right leadership that will let the staff have more say in their jobs without being overridden by senior management.
