I got my SIM from 1p penny mobile, it cost £30 per year and I think it covers you abroad the deal. Only sends messages when bike moves or you login and check or you can turn it off in the app until you want tracking on. Great system for me use on two bikes

yes, it is life level waterproof.However, it is not recommended to place it in a damp place as it may cause the chip to rust.
