Works great with my Nikon D700
Connected this to my Nikon D700 and tested it and it works phenomenally. I really wish I had this during the eclipse! The remote works well even when not pointed towards the receiver, and it also works with the light push to focus and full push to snap photo function. Great buy and excellent value!

Doesn’t work
I purchased this for my D780 to use during the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse. I got familiar with it a few days before and it seemed to work fine. I was glad to be using a wireless remote because I have kids and dogs and I know they would trip over a corded remote. The night before the eclipse I practiced my set up and the remote would not trigger the camera. I replaced the batteries and it still would not work. Only the piece attached to the camera would trigger the shutter, not the remote itself. That would only work if you stand next to the camera which I didn’t plan on doing. I needed to be able to use the device, standing away from the camera and triggering it with the remote, as intended. I ended up having to use interval timing to get my shots which required extra set up before the event. I am thoroughly disappointed in this. If you order it, keep the box in case you have problems and need to return it. I never thought it would be problematic so I threw the box away, but I was still able to return it. I’m sure they’d like to have the box back so they can refurbish and do whatever they do with returned things like this. Anyway I do not recommend this wireless remote.
