I love this soundbar easy and fun to use. It's true what everyone is saying, this soundbar is VERY bass heavy. On the remote you are able to increase and decrease it, but even on -4 ( the lowest setting ) you can still feel the floor vibrating. I'm not complaining about that. Yes at times you have to turn the volume down as the bass is overpowering, but if you want something that will be used for everything ( music, tv, films, gaming). Then you can't go wrong. I have always stood by philips when it comes to sound equipment, and I still do.To sum up,+Brilliant device+remote is well designed ( small, no menus everything is there )+Bass is amazing and can be over powering, but still great+Looks nice, no cloth messing over the speakers it's solid plastic.Excellent *****

Works well. Eventually.Unit is easy to assemble and is solidly built. I had some trouble, at first, with the soundbar not recognising the input from the TV (via HDMI-ARC) as a compatible sound source (HDMI input indication flashes - not steady). I then updated the firmware via a memory stick, as per instructions, and still no joy, at first. Then suddenly the unit worked properly and has been fine since. Not sure if it was coincidence, or not, but I recommend doing the upgrade soonest.I like being able to alter the sound profile to suit what I am watching. The "clear" mode is especially useful when watching dramas as it lifts the dialogue above any background music and background sounds.I'd have given 5 stars if it hadn't been for the slightly shaky start.

The sound is amazing especially the bass, the bluetooth works really well. And the surround sound when watching movies on Netflix is breathtaking, happy to recommend.

I bought this to work with my TV Philips 55``, my living room, is quite large.So I think,the main feature is, it gives a sound bost to your TV, but is not a real soundround feeling, for that a 5.1 or 7.1 should do the trick...But for the price, and for my first media sound system, for me is, good enought.

My daughter loved this. Brill buy no problems at all and mega loud. Looks great with her 60 inch t.v

Pretty good for money. Perfect for the movies, but personally the bass should be able to be adjusted a bit more (personal preference ofc). Overall very satisfied. I recommend.

Not a fan - sound is fine, but the Bluetooth interface appears to be very quirky and isn't particularly discriminating about who it allows to connect...

It arrived very quick. Very easy to assemble and although it does not come with cables I researched and purchased cables at same time so it was ready to put together straight away. I Have put the bar on the wall under the tv and it is very neat. Very powerful and surround sound is good for the money. The Bluetooth is perfect and no problems connecting. Would defiantly recommend this product and would buy Phillips again.

Tenía dudas porque hay comentarios de que se oye bajo, que si el cable es tipo UK......en mi caso os cuento mi experienciaAyer me llegó y ayer la probe. Conectada a TV philips con HDMI en el puerto HDMI ARC de la tele.Punto favorable que la TV reconoce la barra automáticamente y no es necesario ningun setup, el volumen a tope no distorsiona y se oye bastante y digo bastante alto, ambos vecinos arriba y abajo escucharon con claridad la sesión de metallica que les puse..... :-) a través de bluetooth, muy facil de vincular y a la primera.Los graves para mi gusto muy buenos, el sonido con la TDT es genial tambíen con varios presets que se cambian desde el mando. Luego le puse una peli de tanques y la verdad que genial los pepinazos.Muy pero que muy contento por la calidad y el precio.

Was also tun, wenn sich Transformers anhört, als käme es aus einer Pringles-Dose… Genau, man legt sich eine fette Soundbar zu, die einem das Trommelfell um die Ohren klatscht. Super Gag…Mit der Philips HTL2163B versucht der Konzern, den Kunden mit kleinem Geldbeutel anzusprechen. Und was soll ich sagen… Tatsächlich bekommt man auch einiges von Philips geboten, und das kann sich durchaus sehen lassen. Für magermodelige 129,00 Euro gibt es neben der stylischen Soundbar noch einen klobigen Subwoofer für ordentlich Bums (höhö.. ich hab Bums gesagt) oben drauf. Verbunden werden die beiden Geräte mit einem mitgelieferten Kabel, das selbst für große Räume mehr als ausreicht.Wie schon angedeutet sieht die Soundbar sehr anmutig aus. Warum man ein ähnliches Konzept nicht beim Subwoofer angewendet hat, ist mir schleierhaft. Er ist halt ein schwarzer, eckiger, hässlicher Klotz. Aber wie wir alle wissen, zählen die inneren Werte. Und die sind für diese Preisklasse mehr als wunderschön.Verbinden lassen sich alle bekannte Geräte wie: Notebook, MacBook, TV, Beamer, Smartphone/Tablet, Desktop PC und alles was sonst noch Sound ausspucken kann. Via Optical, HDMI ARC, Digitale Eingänge, Bluetooth, AUX und USB lassen sich alle Geräte problemlos in wenigen Sekunden verbinden. Dopo avere effettuato una prova approfondita collegando la soundbar al TV via HDMI (ARC), posso dire che:- La qualità del suono è molto buona, specialmente a fronte del prezzo. Non c'è davvero paragone rispetto agli speaker del televisore, per quanto buoni possano essere. Ho letto in qualche commento (qui e in recensioni di altre soundbar) che il miglioramento è scarso e il subwoofer quasi non si sente. Questo accade quando si dimentica di impostare sul televisore e sull'apparecchio sorgente (lettore BD, console) l'audio in formato multicanale.- Possiede alcuni preset per l'equalizzazione del suono (auto, powerful, bright, clear, balanced) più un selettore a quattro livelli per i bassi e gli acuti. In questa fascia di prezzo è difficile trovare un controllo più fine, ma ritengo che le opzioni siano più che adeguate, contando che l'audio può essere regolato a piacere anche dal menu del televisore o dell'apparecchio sorgente.- possiede una funzione di sincronizzazione nell'eventualità di desync, ma durante le mie prove non è stato necessario testarla.- La qualità del virtual surround (attivabile/disattivabile a piacere dal telecomando) credo dipenda molto dall'ambiente d'ascolto, ma nel mio caso l'ho trovato piacevole. Non riesce prevedibilmente a restituire la sensazione del suono posteriore, ma diversifica bene i canali frontali e laterali, sia durante la visione di film in BD che durante il gaming (PS4, WiiU)- Il subwoofer è collegato via cavo direttamente alla soundbar. E' un particolare di cui è meglio essere al corrente prima dell'acquisto.- Il bluetooth permette di collegare il proprio PC/tablet/smartphone con estrema semplicità e inviare l'audio alla soundbar. Ho fatto una prova con mp3 a diversi bitrate, e in questa modalità il suono restituito non è profondo come nella riproduzione di un film (immagino anche e soprattutto per limiti del formato mp3) ma in assenza di un impianto stereo può fornire una valida alternativa. Presenti sulla parte superiore i più tradizionali ingressi USB 2.0 e il pratico jack da 3.5.- Il prodotto è compatibile solamente con lo standard Dolby Digital, e non decodifica il DTS. Per ascoltare contenuti in DTS senza appiattire il suono, è necessario che della decodifica si occupi il dispositivo sorgente (TV, BD player, console, etc.). A titolo esemplificativo, su PS4 bisogna settare da sistema l'audio in Dolby Digital (ovviamente), ma per guardare Blu Ray con audio DTS, bisogna prima selezionare nelle opzioni di riproduzione del BD di convertire l'audio in PCM multicanale prima di inviarlo alla soundbar.Le mie impressioni finali sono positive. Grazie al collegamento in HDMI ARC l'audio viene inviato alla soundbar in automatico indipendentemente dal segnale in ingresso, ed è possibile controllarne il volume direttamente dal telecomando del televisore. La profondità delle musiche, del parlato e degli effetti sonori migliora notevolmente rispetto agli speaker del tv, e rende molto più immersivo sia il cinema che il gaming (ma anche i servizi di contenuti in streaming, che hanno tutti supporto all'audio multicanale). Le dimensioni sono più compatte rispetto ad altre soundbar, il che la rende esteticamente adeguata anche davanti a TV dalle piccole diagonali (40''). Unico neo, la mancanza di supporto al DTS, che può rendere macchinosa la gestione di contenuti con questa codifica audio.

Ad un prezzo di 116€ si può dire un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. In ambienti di 20mq la resa è ottima, specialmente per la musica.Come home theatre migliora l'audio del tv aumentandone i bassi ma non riesce a riprodurre l'effetto surround , malgrado ci sia anche come opzione, si sente la mancanza del canale centrale.L'audio del mio LG riproduce gli effetti surround molto meglio ma senza bassi. Ottime le modalità di connessione offerte: bluetooth, hdmi arc che consente di controllare il volume dal telecomando del tv inoltre si accende e si spegne col tv, ingresso ottico, rca e usb per ascoltare musica da una chiavetta usb.La connettività è semplice ed intuitiva. Le dimensioni sono contenute, ha la lunghezza di un tv 32"Ottima scelta economica, si ottiene un audio corposo senza spendere una cifra.Volendo spendere di più consiglierei un 3.1 con subwoofer WiFi .
