I like the lantern overall and I prefer the flicker over the still light! It should be noted there are no instructions included and although it’s easy to figure out, the pictures and illustrations on the site are not the same as the product I received. My top does not twist off and it does not have an on/off switch! It has a MODE button which serves as the power button as well as how you change from still to flicker lighting! I hope this product lasts in the summer heat as I enjoy the nice ambience it provides!

These lanterns are very realistic and very well made. I love them; they are on my patio and are still flaming in the early morning hours.

These hold an amazing charge even when they're not in direct sunlight for very long. Ours are tucked inside a hanging glass lantern, suspended from a beam on our covered back porch. They get a lot of indirect light, but not a ton of direct light, and they're still lighting up beautifully after two years of daily use. I didn't want to spend so much money when we first purchased them, but they're worth it, especially given the high fail rate of cheaper solar lanterns.They are not super bright, definitely more for ambiance than actual lumens. And they do have a very sensitive photo cell: if we turn on other party lights nearby, these promptly turn themselves off. That's the only real con, that they won't stay on for ambiance in the presence of other lights no matter how dim. Next to something bright like a porch light, they would definitely not work. But in the right (dark) contexts, they're great little decorative lanterns.

I purchased 2 of these solar flame lanterns back in the beginning of 2021. I'm happy to say they are still going strong and I'm very pleased with them (paid around $20 originally). I especially liked that the lanterns included the option to charge them via Micro USB from any phone charger, laptop, etc. However, recently I was notified they were on sale (for about $18) so I figured I'd get another set, and when they were delivered, I was UNpleasantly surprised to find that the USB charging port has been removed from the updated model. Other than that, it appears to be identical, and more than likely the battery capacity is the same, but I figured I'd write this review to let anyone else know who might also have purchased these before. Outside of that, they charge nicely via solar, and last thru the entire night, and I enjoy the simulated flame look (without the risk of catching anything on fire).

The media could not be loaded. Turn on the button under the lid (kind of hard to get to. Lid doesn't come off. Then test the lantern to test it in a dark room when you take it out of the box..If it lights up on, the button did it. Let it charge in the sun then at night it's perfect. Waterproof, looks great. can hang or sit on top of railings. I've gotten 4 sets of 2 and will get more in the future.Ambience, relaxing, like real flickering fire.

Love it! Very cute hanging from the deck or trees. Works really well.

Took a few days in the sunlight to charge the first time but once lit, they’re bright and flicker like flames.

It is bright and gives off one of the most real looking flames I have seen (and I buy these types of things often). Unfortunately, like so many things made these days, it stopped working within a few weeks. I opened it, charged it, and set it up outside. One day I noticed it was no longer working and figured the cloudy days were not giving it enough sunlight to recharge. I then brought it back inside and recharged it and the next day, it still would not come on.I would be willing to pay 3x as much for a higher quality version of this. Please focus on quality more than price. Some of us are willing to pay more for things that don't break so easily.
