Biggest plus is that they fit my shoes! I am female, size 6 and the only other alternative is men's sized shoetrees which are too wide for my shoes. Had to return two previous purchases but at last found some that do the job. Good fit, good design, good price. Even arrived spot-on time. A little bit of shoe-tree heaven - can now get on with my life. Thank you.

When we ordered these at first we didn’t realise that they were only up to size 5 but that’s fine. We ended up using them for our daughter’s shoes rather than our own. She said that they are really good for keeping the shape but they are not so great at stretching out the creases Across the top of the foot and although she is size 5 they still don’t fit some of her shoes, so she uses them in about half of her collection.

The shoe trees are sturdy and value for money as far as it goes however in my size five leather pumps the body of the shoe tree is badly shaped and causes a kink in the shoe as the shape of the shoe opening on the top of the foot becomes the side of the shoe. The plastic insert is really too long and extends out of the shoe. I have many older pairs of shoe trees and in all cases the plastic part is much shorter and doesn't cause this kink. I will try these new shoe trees in some different style of shoes when I get round to it - so, the trees are fine in some respects but have a poorish design. They were advertised as fitting sizes 2 to 5 - my size at the upper limit makes for a very tight fit and for smaller sizes they would be almost impossible to use. BEWARE those with small feet!

I can now keep the shape of my shoes and maintain lovely looking shoes for longer.

Shoes usually last me years, and I try and store them in best way possible. I have not bothered with shoe trees before, though, as I usually stuff my shoes and boots with tissue or packing paper.Compared to using paper, these are a tidier solution and quicker and easier to insert and remove. Means I can get my shoes on quicker. If you don't use anything, I would recommend these, as they help keep the shape of the leather and avoid creasing, denting or deforming the leather, which can be hard to fix.I tried these with some soft, fabric sneakers, and those seemed stretched a bit too much. Right one of black sneakers has one inside, and it maybe does not show too well, but it stretches the top more than during wear.Personally, I will use these for leather boots or shoes, like the red boots shown.But it also depends on size of your shoes. Mine are UK size 5 (EU 38), so with larger sizes, over-stretching will likely not be so much of an issue.These are 26.5 cm or 10.6 inches long and 7 cm or 2.8 inches at widest part.They will obviously not work as well on open backed shoes. Have packed most of my summer shoes away, so cannot test them with those at the moment. They work on the pink sandals shown, as those have a ridge at the back. But mostly, you would use these for court shoes, boots etc and they are ideal for that.This is a Vine Voice review, but this has not changed my opinion and I only review items I would buy.
