As expected
Leatherhead has quickly become a leader in fire service products. This NY hook is no exception. Stout and well balanced this tools only limitations is it’s user! Great tool and a great price!

Solid tool, solid value.
Holding up well after 1 job. Good balance and weight. Cut off the foam right when it came in to tape wrap the handle for better grip. This is a solid addition to the truck!

New York Tool
As a fireman this tool works very well for pulling ceilings while at house fires and or drywall. Gives enough reach. Great interior tool for firefighters. Light weight durable during a structure fire.

Love it.
Awesome tool. Have had two fires with it so far. I got the 5ft. It’s heavier than the 6ft that some guys have. But there isn’t any flex in it.

Good but not perfect.
Great hook, heavy with stout welds. The tips come unfinished so it will take some tuning to remove the fairly thick paint/finish. The cast on the head and chizel had a more rounded point which is fine for pulling drywall but as a forcing tool it could be improved on with a file. FHU has a better cast, tuned points and a lifetime warranty but if you don't mind a little work to get it right it'll perform the same.The foam wrap is only provided to prevent damage during shipping... Feel free to cut it off.My first order was lost in transit and the second was delivered in a box that was mostly packing tape as the tool wasn't packaged very well.

Purchased this for my husband, who is a firefighter, and was was completely stoked to have his own!

After a year of use the Z portion of the tool bent.
Z portion bent after a year of use. Bad weld from what i can tell. I contacted the company for another tool or money back. They said no. Don't waste your money on this cheap pole that this company obviously won't back as well.
