I purchased #2 Edward for our two-year old grandchildren and #5 James. I did not realize these are not like the wooden push trains-- they do not have magnetic "hitches" and are not the same width - wider wheel base so they cannot go on the wooden tracks we have for other Brio/wooden Thomas sets.The trains themselves are fine and would be lots of fun if you have the system that is compatible. I give it a 5 star because they did not do "anything" -- I just hadn't realized the differences I mentioned.

This made a child so happy. Works great, difficult to find typically.

Daughter has had this for about 2 years now and she absolutely loves it still still works just wouldn’t recommend letting it get to close to long hair as it will cost your kid a haircut they don’t want other than that 5 stars from me

These trains run very fast and smoothly down the track, double A battery poweredI will say Duncan isn’t the best one, just super bright and his motor is like very very loud and he’s slower than the othersSir Handel doesn’t come in a box, but Peter sam and Duncan come in a boxSir Handel and Peter sam run very fastIf you order Peter sam you might receive different variants, sometimes all details will be painted sometimes it won’t be, I got the less detailed one

Perfect train for an 8 year boy who loves trains. Great quality

I bought this because we have the rest of the collection and the new ones don’t match. These are hard to find / not made anymore which is why the price is a little higher.
