They just work
I almost forgot I bought these, they've been so reliable. They run from a couple USB-A power adapters to some Noctua fans that cool some SFP+ modules in my network. Haven't had a single problem with them, ever.

Plug and play versatility. Easy to use.
Used to convert an old pc case fan to a cooler for my stereo that was suddenly over heating. Worked like a charm.

Usb cables for fans
Great option for using PC fans to cool Fosi V3 amps...

Broke Almost Immediately
I had one of these break within an hour of using it. The other is running still, who knows how long it'll last. These are very low build quality.

tantalum
I wouldn't be comfortable using a 16V tantalum cap on a 12V bus

Gebildet 12V USB Fan Adapter - Perfect for Noctua Fans (and More)!
I bought this Gebildet USB fan adapter specifically to power my Noctua NF-S12B redux-700 fan. As you know, these Noctua fans are fantastic for quiet operation, but they're 12v fans and USB ports only put out 5v. This little adapter solves that problem perfectly. Plug and Play Simplicity This adapter is incredibly easy to use. It plugs into any standard USB port and then connects directly to your 3-pin or 4-pin PC fan. No muss, no fuss - just instant power for your fan. Powers Noctua Fans Perfectly I can confirm that this adapter delivers the full 12v needed to run my Noctua fan at its intended speed. This means you get the maximum airflow and quiet operation that Noctua fans are known for. Great for Various Needs While I use this with a Noctua fan, this adapter is a great solution for anyone who wants to run a 12v fan from a USB port. It's perfect for cooling down electronics projects, game consoles, or anything else that could benefit from some extra airflow. Overall Impressions This Gebildet adapter is a lifesaver for anyone who wants to use a 12v fan with a USB power source. It's simple to use, works flawlessly, and lets you enjoy the full performance of your fan. Highly recommended!

Fungerar felfritt
Perfekt för att slippa dra ur usb-kabeln när man ska stänga av. Fläkten verkar köra full fart 12v.
