She hides her true identity by placing her best friend Daisy’s details in instead of her own
P.s. from Paris is the latest novel by Mark Levy. This is the first book that I have read by Mark Levy and found it to be a really enjoyable read that has left me reaching for more books by the author. The book is set mostly in Paris and the scenes in the story are very detailed which has allowed the reader to feel as though they are actually there. The two main characters in the story are Mia the famous actress and Paul the previous architect and now struggling author, whom both escape their different lives and find solace in a place they are not known.Mia is in Paris due to marital issues and media attention and Paul cant take the pressure of media attention so decides to move to Paris where he is not known. The book takes you through each characters struggles and how they come together.Mia and Paul meet when she decides to put her information on a dating online service. She hides her true identity by placing her best friend Daisy’s details in instead of her own. When she arrives for the date Paul is completely oblivious that this is a date and instead thinks it is a business meeting, as his best friend Arthur and his Wife Lauren put his information on the online dating site without his knowledge. At the time of the date Paul is in love with his Korean translator.Although Mia and Pauls date is far from spectacular they manage to form a friendship throughout the story but there are lies that are always in the background waiting to be revealed. The author has a way of keeping you in suspense throughout the book as there are plenty of times that Mias true identity is nearly revealed. This book really is a truly amazing read and will have you feeling every kind of emotion whilst reading it.

Very nice, quite short but enjoyable!
Quite light reading but an enjoyable book and nice little twist, likeable characters, somewhat obvious end but that’s what you expect, I’d read more by this author!

Nice holiday pick
I haven't read anything by Marc Levy before but this was offered as a free prime book for August so I thought I'd give it a go. It was a little clunky at times and i feel like there was maybe another story that you are supposed to read first but it didn't make too much difference to the overall enjoyment. It was a nice story, the characters kept me interested and I read the whole book in a couple of sittings. Probably a good holiday pick

Another brilliant book by Marc Levy
I was so excited to learn there was a new book available by this author. I love If Only It Were True and was looking forward to losing myself in another novel. The fact that it's primarily set in Paris was an added bonus and the descriptions were spot on.Paul moved to Paris after the success of his first novel. He felt anonymous there and had made a life for himself. When his friends, Arthur and Lauren visit him they decide to give him a nudge at finding a partner.Mia has also come to Paris to escape. As a well known actress it's hard so she changes her look and helps out at her friend's restaurant. Mia feels freer than she has in years and plays her part well. When Paul and Mia first meet they start a tentative frendship. They find themselves growing closer but neither of them are ready to admit their feelings. When Paul takes a trip to a book fair, neither of them realise how much it will change everything.

Clunky start but once shifted through a few gears a nice ride
This is the first book of this author's I have read. I was drawn to it because I love Paris and I like reading French novels, albeit in translation. When I began this one I almost gave up. It came across as a bad chic-lit, with cliques and jumps to different characters, I began to wonder if forty million readers could all be deluded ! However at about 40% something changed and I really began to enjoy this book. The premise was interesting en ough to keep my interest. I know now that this is a sequel to another book but it does not explain the bad start so I .had to deduce one star, at one stage it was hea ding for a two star review. Kindle jumping so will finish later

This is a good summer read book
This is a good summer read book. It's got great pace and likeable characters throughout. It takes you from the streets of Paris to a brief spell in Korea. There is a clever twist, but doesn't distract from the "love story" element. We follow the lives of Mia, a film star seeking time to decide, Paul, a successful author and their friends, who all play their parts beautifully. It's a feel good book, one I skipped through quite easily and enjoyed.Worth a read.

Nice RomCon Read
This story took me a while to get into but I did enjoy the premise of it.The characters are intriguing and you definitely don't know exactly what is going on with them. Mia the actress is in Paris, trying to get away from her life in films, she is in disguise. I liked her character and found her amusing. Paul the American author is writing novels which are huge in Korea, he is at times an annoying character who could definitely do with a shove to get him go I.Overall I enjoyed reading the story, though at times felt it rambled on a bit and lost its way.

Simply Delightful!
I don't normally read romance books but had enjoyed the film version of one of Levy's previous books and as it was a free read thought I'd give it a try.Have to say I was captivated from the start. This story could so easily have been all candy floss and no substance but Levy's style of writing elevates it into something much more substantial and had me hooked to the end.A definite "feel good book" to be put on your summer reading list!

Masterfully story telling
An intriguing story of love, connection and friendship masterfully told. Set in Paris, I could taste the food and feel the cobblestone beneath my feet. The weaving of the characters and their lives makes this a page turned. I didn't want the story to end.

Author's Snappy Dialogue Makes This Story a Winner
Over the years, I have found that books that promise to be funny or a “comedy” seldom live up to the hype. While I am not sure why I took a chance with author Marc Levy’s “P.S. from Paris,” I have to say that it was not a disappointment. Here’s why:CHARACTERS – Mia is an actress, caught between her career and the actions of her philandering husband. Her life is one that pulls her in directions she doesn’t always want to go, and she struggles with the feelings that she begins to feel for Paul. Paul Barton, who is essentially a one-hit wonder when it comes to the novels he has written, already has a long-term lover. However, it is easy to see he has feelings for Mia. Both of the main characters are deeply described, and readers are able to see the thoughts they share with us (even as they keep those secrets from each other). There are a couple of supporting characters – Daisy, who is Mia’s best friend, and Cristoneli, Paul’s editor. Both help to move the story along. Daisy is a thorn or a salve at any given moment, but her best wishes are always for her friend. Cristoneli is a humorous person, and although he is a bit one-dimensional, I enjoyed the chapters where he is featured.PLOT – Let’s face it, a romantic comedy is a romantic comedy. However, Mr. Levy has thrown in a number of twists, so many that a mystery writer would be proud. There were a couple of times where I felt the plot was beginning to bog down, but the author was always there to rekindle the action and keep me reading. In fact, the last 15% had me so wrapped up that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. The scene where Mia and Paul meet is priceless. Thrust together unknowingly and not for the reasons each of them suspect, the chapter is definitely one of the best in the book. The interplay developed at that time continues throughout the story, making this an enjoyable tale.DIALOGUE – This book lives on dialogue, no matter whether it is between characters or when Mia or Paul are having a discussion within their own minds. Because of this, the book flies by, and the characters are intimately revealed by what they say…and also, by what they don’t say.JUST IN CASE YOU WANTED TO KNOW – Most of the vulgarities present in many books today are missing, although there are a few words here and there. All scenes of affection are tastefully done and it would not be embarrassing if a younger reader browsed through and read them.OVERALL – While I did not laugh out loud, many of the scenes put a smile on my face. The story is charming and a lot of fun. Mr. Levy’s deft handling of two people falling in love while not realizing it deserves five stars.
