This little pink massager was much smaller than I was expecting. I have another massager that is easily twice the size, but I'm not a fan of that one because it's not adjustable and beats the living daylights out of me. This one, thankfully, is adjustable, going from 1 to 30-something in intensity. The lowest setting is a mere buzz against your skin while the highest gives a good pummeling to your muscles.One thing that I'm not sure if it's a flaw or a design choice (it's not described in the instructions): the full massage effect of the massage head doesn't activate unless it's pushed firmly against the skin. When you're just holding it there's definitely some vibration, but I didn't notice much difference between level 1 and level 30. But when pushed against the body, perhaps activating a pressure switch in the head, I don't know, the full power of the massage is engaged and there's very definitely a difference between level 1 and level 30. Even at the highest setting it doesn't reach the full teeth-jarring intensity of my bigger massager, but since I find that one painfully strong anyway I think that this is a good thing.There are no massage modes or settings available aside from intensity levels, just one steady pounding massage that occasionally, without a pattern that I can determine, goes super fast for a second or two and then goes back to normal. Again, I'm not sure if this is deliberate or a design flaw. There's nothing in the instruction booklet about it.Overall I feel positive about this small massager. It delivers a nice deep tissue massage without leaving me feeling beaten and bruised.
