It was the bottle that this fits I didn't like. The pressure hole on the bottle should only let air in, but it release liquid as well. When you start to slow the pour it leaks even more. All of this was with water and not gas, in my case I was glad I tested it first. **Q: Will this hose fit a Scribner 5gal utility jug top?** A: The hose fits a vp cap. The cap has a threaded hole for the hose to fit. If a vp cap fits ur jug, then the hose will work for u **Q: will this fit a tuff jug 5 gallon** A: I am not sure. It is about $ 2.00 worth of plastic tubing and clamps that they sell for $ 9.00. If it was me again I would just build my own. **Q: Can anyone tell me what material the dark gray part is made of?** A: Yessir, it is made out of PVC. The same kind of PVC used for plumbing and electrical tubing. It is chemical resistant and works great for this application. The clear hose is also made of a different grade of PVC with a UV protector so the hose lasts longer.
