Although I did not measure, the way the device is made is not secure and would not stay in place.

If your canine sustains a CCL tear, I do not recommend using a brace. I tried it - took more time to put on and then seems to have not supported his walks. Get to a vet surgeon and have the surgery. For CCL it's really the only way to heal. Even from a partial tear.

I got this for my puppy’s CCL tear on her rear leg. It does help as she is a 6month old mini schnauzer. The one thing is that the belt around her waist loosens and I have to readjust it several times throughout the day. It does remind her to slow down and not to run and be careful so she can heal. There’s definitely room for improvement as far as the waist strap. Maybe a loop Velcro or something. Or snap.

Not necessarily a product flaw.Only can be used for a dog with some "meat" on its backside I guess. Although my dog was in the correct weight range, she is the "buttless wonder" and the strap would continuously slide off her butt. The alternative was to strap it on her like a tourniquet at her middle, and that wasn't going to happen.I returned it for a full refund and it was done quickly and without any problems.

I needed this brace fairly quickly, it took almost a month and a half to receive it. I had originally ordered it and received it but it was too large . I just returned the original to get a smaller size for my dog.

The brace absolutely will not stay up where it belongs and will not support the knee.
