Nice to have a file around
There are so many files in this pack, I can leave them in various desks as so if I need a file around the house, there will be one nearby. The bright pink or blue makes it easy to see too.

helping me slowly file down some infected nails to expose good nail underneath
Not sure how, when, or why, but at some point a few years back, I noticed that each of my big toes had developed a "double nail" -- like a second nail, growing on top of the real nail. (It looked like the nail had been cut in half horizontally, which is why I assumed maybe something had fallen on it or something.)I ignored the situation and -- no surprise -- it just got worse and worse and eventually, at my annual checkup, my dermatologist asked what was going on. I had no idea (kinda thought that was his area!), but some searching around told me it was probably a fungal nail infection, so I tried a handful of home remedies, to no avail.Next time, the dermatologist and I agreed that it wasn't getting any better, so he gave me a prescription for some pills that would knock it out over a year.Another year came and went and not any better, so he gave me another prescription for some sort of topical lacquer stuff that I paint on them every morning. Months of that yielded no real results, either. (And by this time, it looked like a nail on top of a nail on top of a nail on top of a nail and so on, kind of like a tortoise's shell.)So I searched around more, found a subreddit where people were discussing possible solutions to such situations, and one of the ideas that really made sense to me was that the topical medication I'd been prescribed only affects like the top 1mm of nail and that if I wanted to get rid of that stack of nails, I'd need to physically remove them: either by having them removed (which sounded painful), grinding them down with some sort of rotary tool, or -- here we are -- using a nail file to slowly work down to the actual, real, nail underneath. So that's what I've been doing for a couple months now (using a fresh file for each side, so that I don't accidentally cross-contaminate anything). After filing a little bit, I then apply the topical stuff to the top of the newly exposed nail. These are a great way for me to slowly, safely (and painlessly!) file off that old, yucky nail, and I can see lots of improvement over these last couple months. My only wish is that I could fold these in half so that I could file the "corners" of my nails. When I folded one, it just snapped in half. Maybe there exist foldable ones, but for now, these are helping me undo whatever was going on.

Would have liked them better if they had a coarse or grit
The grid on the East seem to be very fine.

Great for disposable nail files
These are a great price for 100 double sided nail files. I am a nurse and use these when I do nail care on my patients. I leave each one with the patient to use next time I do their nails. I use the pink side for fingernails and blue for toenails always, on each patient, so I don't get confused. Some people don't like the same file used on their fingers as on their toes. If someone has a nail fungus I just dispose of it and use a new one next time since the low cost allows me to do that. Overall these are sturdy and small enough to carry in my bag or in my supply kit in my car. Great purchase! Definitely recommend!
