much better than what came with the shelves
recently redid our kitchen and the shelf supports in the cabinets are very difficult to remove, there is a clip over the top if the shelf which must be pressed in while simultaneously pushing up on the shelf. Really a pain in the *ss. We bought three boxes of these and they are a perfect replacement. Just be sure to double check the size of the hole. We ordered too big the first time.

These are pretty consistent size and shape wise. I've ordered two sizes so far to replace plastic pegs. Worth it.

They don't fit ikea bookcases.
I lost my self pegs for my ikea bookcase. These do not fit an ikea bookcase. Not even close. They're nice quality though. My bad.
