Another Great Viper, But What's Up With The Light Gray Guns?
The crimson viper is yet another variant of the pretty good viper we've had roll out recently, and the only general release single figure of it so far. I'm not counting the overpriced general release 3-pack or the Target exclusives. I own all of the variants except for the Python Patrol, and I can safely say they are all the exact same sculpt and articulation. There are no differences except for color. If you wanted a viper before, chances are you've gotten one by now, and there's nothing here to surprise you.The paint work on my pair is mostly good (the faceplate on one has a tiny bit of red on the chin and the brow, but nothing atrocious). My only complaint is the light gray guns. Why the heck did Hasbro do light gray guns?! That's just plain silly. The light gray holster on the leg is stupid too. I don't believe in goggles over faceplates. As for the blue scarf, it doesn't look bad, but I think he looks just as good with the dark gray one from the Scalper Island viper (if not better), and vice versa. If you're already familiar with the viper figure and accessories, but you just want this guy in red, you won't regret buying him. Maybe I had bad intel, but I thought crimson vipers were an element of the Crimson Guard, not some sub-group loyal specifically to Tomax/Xamot and the Baroness. Ah well, I guess in my head canon these guys will still be crimson guards in actual, proper battle uniforms. Who goes to fight in ceremonial garb?

Awesome Figure
As always with Classified figures, there are manufacturing issues such as the fit of the backpack, but if you collect these figures then you already expect that to be the case. Looks amazing regardless.

Great action figures
This is a nice update to the toys of my youth. The figures are very poseable, though you'll want to find a decent platform for the feet. Very easy to immerse yourself in the fantasy.

Cobra!!
My second Crimson Viper. I like these ones a lot more than the blue version. Thankfully these all arrive in a shipping box now so the box arrived in damaged. I guess Amazon got enough flack about shipping in bags.

It's a repaint but it's still a good figure.
These are great army builders. The articulation is good although it has wobbly legs just like the other Viper figures. But it's not enough to take away from the figure.

Great Sub-Team Army Builder
Good Reuse of the Viper Figure! this repaint is, to me, a better fit with the standard and Cobra Island Viper paint schemes.

Gimme More Crimson
I love the Crimson toys, I have the B.A.T and the Crimson Guard, I'm a sucker for red clad figures. There isn't much to say about this figure, he looks great and I like the addition of the neckerchief. You can have it on or off and it doesn't take away from the figure at all. There is the issue with the goggles falling off as with most figures with removable goggles. You can solve that by putting them over the mask...although I never understood that with the Vipers, why put goggles over a full face shield? It would be like wearing safety glasses over a face shield, it makes no sense. :D
