Absolutely perfect. These blocks are not over dried like the competitors...as in, these blocks still smell like fresh lumber. They are workable, smooth and of excellent quality. Not splitting or splintering into dried crumbly bits with small cuts. Absolute value, clean and packaged neatly, sizes are just as described and they are easy to work with.

Arrived on time and is of.good quality. Size is correct and grain is tight.

For beginners, this is the best wood. If you are getting into carving, our family likes to go camping and we love carving wood… This is great for that. I do wish that there were more larger blocks as opposed to the smaller blocks, which is why I’m giving it four stars they need to start making more of the bigger blocks and less of the smaller blocks… But the wooden general is great very good quality and no bad spots. It’s easy to carve and it’s very smooth.

I thought this product was easy to carve with. It makes carving more pleasurable!! Reasonably priced and delivered promptly!!

Quality, carving

I did not read the product description closely enough. There were plenty of 1 x 1 x 2 pieces (12) but only one 2 x 2 x 4 piece. All the rest were 2 x 2 x2 blocks (6) were not useful to me. The wood seemed pretty hard for basswood, especially the 2 x 2 x 2s.

My son has been using these to create crafts. He’s very creative and these have allowed him to have fun carving without having to invest a lot of money in supplies.
