these things are handy if you have a pretty heavy duty hunk of steel to use them on (i tried using them on a door made of very lightweight steel and they didn't work so well)

Ok. These magnets Come with a caveat. If you hang these magnets vertically, like on a magnetic wall. And try to hang something slightly heavy from them, the magnets will slide down the wall. But if you hang these magnets horizontal , like from a ceiling or something overhead.they work absolutely awesome with all kinds of holding power. You also have to understand that not all magnetic services are the same. It all depends on what type of metal you are sticking these magnets to. These magnets don’t work very well when hanging them on some type of magnetic metal alloy, (it’s not the magnets fault) But if you hang them from solid steel , they are absolutely awesome with all kinds of holding power. Through trial and error, I now understand these things. So they get 5 stars from me!

Got these for a project where I needed at least 135-140lbs pulling force. I went for these at 150lb to give me a safety margin and to account for slight variations in manufacturing.I was surprised to find that neither magnet came close to 150lbs. Each one released at 100-115lbs. This was below my minimum. The sideways pulling force seems almost non-existent. Sadly these aren't much better than strong refrigerator magnets.

I bought these to support my hanging file folders with a variety of work for my students. They are strong enough to support the weight of all lessons.

I used regular magnet hook on the fridge, and they worked fine for basic plastic utensils, but when I bought a pair of Mastrad Silicone Oven Mitts, at 185g each, they didn't work, and would slide down. I then added a rare earth magnet from a hard drive below, and then they would flip over, so I added a second rare earth magnet over the top, and it worked fine, until someone would bump it. After a couple of years of them crashing on my guests, I decided to look at a better option. I found these to be the strongest hooks for the price, and was impressed to see them show up the next day. Combined, the two mitts weigh 0.8 pounds, and with the new setup, I was able to hang the pair on one hook. I had a pair or Kitchenaid mitts as well, and was able to hang them on the second hook. My sieve went up on the third hook, also less than a pound, and this allows it to air dry. Spatula went on the fourth hook. These don't budge when someone swings the cabinet door open and hits them, and they don't fall off when taking the things off the hook, or putting them on the hook. I can say with 100% certainty that if you're hanging items that are under one pound, these are the best hooks that you will find!

Purchased to hold an aluminet cloth on my vehicle, however they feel a little weak but should hold as long as I'm not sitting in a tornado. The hooks are not the shape described, much flatter and not much curve.
