If I could give this a minus review, I would. This blanket was given as a Christmas present to my son. For about a week then one side quit working. We got a replacement, in February, without issue. It worked good for awhile, then one side quit working. Then a short time later, the whole blanket quit working. I went on amazon, to try to get some kind resolution regarding this"non-heating" heating blanket... And the warranty on the original blanket, did not begin again with the new blanket. So, makes me wonder...if this is the case, when ever you receive a replacement and they don't give a warranty on the replacement, you may get a product they know has issues, so it can be taken out of their inventory. I received the replacement in February and find out warranty ended in March. Quality merchants that believe in their products, always fix/replace defective products! BUYER BEWARE!!!

It’s completely dead after 5 months. Prior to that the heat was uneven, with parts not heated at all and other areas almost scalding hot. Now I get the joy of trying to get my money back. I do have all original packaging including the warranty card for this specific blanket which states it has a 5 year guaranty. Wish me luck. I can’t believe Amazon is still selling this. Based on the reviews it should be clear the product has serious faults. $130 is a lot of money for a blanket. I feel completely ripped off.

This may be the best electric blanket we've ever had. The blanket itself is a true blanket, not a fleece throw or a slippery comforter - it stays on the bed like it should but doesn't cling to the sheet or stretch out of shape. The finish is almost flannel-like so it's very soft. Like the pattern, too - first electric blanket I've seen where there was a choice of something other than a solid color. But the best feature is how evenly it heats - the wires go all the way to the foot end so there's no cold spot anywhere. And the wires are small, not very noticeable. The plug in for the cord at the foot is well designed - again, probably the best of any we've owned; it's easy to plug in and easy to take apart to change the sheets. The control is also very well designed for ease of use; I really like that it has rubber pads on the bottom - it doesn't move around when I adjust the heat level and it doesn't make any noise when it's touched.This is a great blanket - not cheap but I feel we got our money's worth; I highly recommend it.

Got this blanket today to replace the  Sunbeam Luxurious Velvet Plush King Heated Blanket  I returned. This blanket is much better and almost perfect. It's thick and made with fabric which won't slide around. The two controllers are independently wired - a nice feature. My only complaint is I bought this for a California King (slightly longer than a regular king). The web description shows it a Cal king or king, but the package is marked 'king'. As a result, the blanket is a little shorter than it should be. Also, check the prices for various colors. I bought a Sage colored spread and it was $100 cheaper than Tan. Edit: After using a couple of days I'm very happy with the way this blanket stays in place on the bed and doesn't bunch up like the Sunbeam blanket. It's very comfortable and I sleep well. A small minor complaint is the the controllers always default to the lowest heat and 10 hour operation. Being able to change the default would be nice, but the minor inconvenience is worth the overall comfort at night. Recommended.Edit (2/2/17): I had an infant mortality on one of the controllers. I sent an email early Saturday then on Sunday decided to order a replacement from Amazon. Monday I talked with Linda. She said they stand by their products. I had to fill out the warranty card which was emailed to me (apparently I threw it out) and email it in. She's shipping me a new controller. Excellent service!

I have purchased three sunbeam blankets in last four years all have stopped working or not heated evenly. I searched until I read so many reviews my eyes were crossing. If you want a blanket that will warm your bed before you get in it this is the one. It is the best I have found. I can’t speak to how durable it is as I’ve only had it a couple of weeks but if the other things are indicators, I have very high hopes. I also have Shavel comforters that are excellent and durable. Finally a comfortable winter. Thanks.

We have one of these blankets, in King Size on our bed at our residence. It's great, gets very warm and is very comfortable. We liked it so much that we ordered the same blanket, but in queen size for our RV.Our first queen size that we received seemed defective. Almost zero heat, just barely warm. We returned it to Amazon and we had to pay eight bucks for a box at UPS to return the item.We ordered a second one, and it's just the same! Almost NO HEAT. Just warm. Our king size one at our residence get's toasty warm.Very dissapointed in this item. I suggest that you keep looking.

Good quality blanket. Do not care for the controls - the light does not stay on to see what you have chosen. The low setting is pretty warm for low.

This is the best, warmest electric blanket I have ever owned, but the controller is terrible. Buttons are embedded under a plastic overlay, which makes them hard to push. The plastic coating eventually crinkles up, making things worse over time. My biggest complaint is that the controller does not stay lit. You can't easily locate the buttons by feel (due to overlay) in the dark. In fact, because it isn't lit up, and you are groggy, you can't even find the controller! This may seem like a petty complaint, until you have lived with it for a while. I would not buy this blanket again due to this.
