This fan is super quiet. I can hear it when I turn my headset off and it goes silent, but it is definitely drowned out by any sound coming from the speakers.I'm not sure that I'd use it for something like a meditation app, but it's night and day for the more active ones. I can't really feel the air flow over my face, so my eyes don't get dry. It does a perfect job at fighting the claustrophobic feel, though, and it keeps the space under the headset from getting stuffy and uncomfortable.It does nothing to stop my face from sweating. That's kind of a "me" thing, though. Everyone is different.The great part is that the padding part comes right off! It's just velcro! BEST IDEA EVER!! Take it off, wash it at the sink, let it dry, put it back, there's nothing gross to put back on my face later, and water stays far away from my expensive headset.The only downfall is that it's a little tricky to seat the fan into the mask, and to pop it back off again. I'd probably just leave it there, but it doesn't fit in my case.I haven't tried it as a battery backup yet. I don't really need more than two and a half hours of VR at a time. I did plug it in briefly for curiosity and it showed as being plugged in.I've been using it about 2 hours a day for the better part of a week and I haven't had to charge it again. I have no idea how long the charge actually lasts, but it's impressive so far!

I used the supplied plastic insert for the cooling fan, but swapped the face pad for one of my thicker ones. Less light bleed than before, more comfortable on my nose and help keeps my face cool. The fan is slightly odd at first, feels like you'll get dry eyes, but never happened. Definitely helped keep my face much cooler in the mask, extended my battery life a bit and the fan doesn't add any noticeable weight. Best money I've spent on an upgrade.

Kids say the are sweating 50% less I got the product on sale as well!! Kids couldn’t be more pleased!

Took several tries to snap it in place. Was a bit worried something was going to break trying to do it.Its not loud.It does help keep my face from sweating no where near as much as before I installed it but not completely sweat free especially during high energy games.The face piece is not as comfy as the one that comes with meta quest and the longer I play the more uncomfortable it seems.It lets in a bit more light than the original face piece but not enough to annoy me.Battery life seems to last a really long time.Tried to use it as backup power pack when the headset said the battery was low and I connected the headset to the fan with the connector provided but my game shut down shortly after. it seems the stiffness of the short wire trying to straighten out pulled itself loose enough it wasn't working as a backup power supply. Maybe it will work better when the cord get used to being curved the way it must be to work and loses some of its new stiffness.

This comes with a plastic piece that connects to your headset. You attach the vent to the headset piece. It isn't hard to do at all. It's just like attaching any of the plastic viewing pieces. There are two speeds, high and low. I have it set for high. It doesn't make too much noise when you are actually playing - mostly because the sound inside the headset is louder. I was thinking this would be more like a fan but it's not. What it does is it takes the hot air out of the headset which then eliminates the fog on my glasses. It also has LED lights on the outside that change colors. It's cool, but I can't see it so perhaps it's a pointless feature. I wish I would have picked the white one so it blends in better with my headset but that's just a personal preference at this point. Maybe I'll get a skin now!

I really thought that this would put an end to the sweating when playing my VR but it did not. Im still not sure exactly how this is supposed to work since the instructions were somewhat vague. This fan doesn’t do a good job keeping you cool and there is very little to no air circulating through it. I have to say it was a disappointment. The battery pack on the other hand was decent and helped to keep my Quest 2 charged so that’s why I gave it 3 stars..

Matched this with a pink VR kit for the Meta 2 so it's 100% pinkalicious and she's lovin it! Battery is great for lasting power, charge it up and it'll run for a few hours easily providing cool, fresh air to your eyes which helps reduce strain and wear. Comes with a matching faceplate that's made for the proper airflow and also a new foam and blackout nosepiece for a complete setup.Now the part I still don't totally get but hey it's on there and doesn't seem to drag down on the battery is the LEDs. Since you can't see them yourself, I'm not sure why they have to be on there but as mentioned I didn't see any drag on battery charge life while they were on. Excellently placed USB-C port, LED power indicator and speed selector switch and if Pink's not your color it's also in plain white to match your Q2.

I use the oculus daily to play supernatural, which is a fitness game. Usually, by the third song, I'm sweating so much that the headset fogs up in the middle of playing and it really bugs me when I can't see the screen as well.I wasn't sure how much I would like this headset because the facemask isn't as comfortable as the original, but it isn't bad. The fan does add a little weight. I used it once or twice and then switched back to the original face mask that came with the Oculus and I had issues with the headset fogging again and it annoyed me a lot.I decided to switch back to this face mask with the fan and have used it ever since. Now I can't play the oculus without this fitness fan and face mask!
