We weren't going to keep it but after some modifications to the inner basket it is performing much better and is much quieter. The basket is designed in such a way that the pump inlet gets immediately clogged with debris (budding maple tree) and reduced the psi to about 5 from restricted water flow...and it was LOUD. My husband cut a piece from our old pump basket and retrofitted it inside so there is a secondary piece of mesh to block debris but still allow water to flow through. Now running strong at 15psi and is drastically quieter. It they changed the design on the basket I would definitely give 5 stars.

Had to completely rewire the entire pump. I ordered a 220V and it came with a small 110V power cord. After I got it wired up, it runs good. Hope it lasts

Plug comes with a 110v plug, but requires 220v . You will have to cut the cord and attach a 220v plug. Strange, and potentially dangerous, if the buyer is ignorant of electrical properties. READ INSTRUCTIONS CARWFULLY!!!

So far so good. The pump has an exceptional flow and vacuum. I was only able to run either skimmer or primary pool intake, but never both. Vacuum would drop off and pressure could not be established. The old pump was 2.5hp and only carried a 30 day warranty according to Amazon customer service. A total waste of money (old pump that is.) I will provide updates if anything changes.

This pump moves water well, isn't extremely loud but can be heard easily. 3 stars because the version I purchased can not be bought without a timer. The built in timer is annoying. Set for 10 hrs and turn on at 8 AM. Pump will run for 10 hrs, shut off, and repeat next day at 8 AM. However, if you need to turn off the pump for any reason say at 2 PM when you restart it the 10 hrs starts over at 2 PM so to get back on track you must be at the pump at 8 AM next day. Would have preferred to use my existing timer but for this price it is a decent purchase.

This pump replaced my 2HP Haywood pool pump for my inground pool. Just as much power if not more.I was very impressed with the quality of this pump. Easy to install. I used the 2 inch fittings.It comes with 1 1/2 inch fittings as well. I highly recommend this product!

Once you figure it out the timer is an excellent feature. the pump work extremely well
