This gallon-size water bottle is very nice. The cap has a locking lid protector, and you can either drink out of the larger hole or through a built-in straw which flips down out of the way when not using. This is definitely a "cadillac" model of water bottles, it feels quite sturdy and the lid is well made. I do like the locking feature on the lid, and then the push button / "pop"-open lid protector.The only thing I do not like about this bottle -- and I've had many in the past -- is that when it's full of water, the thing is relatively hard to grip. There is an attached strap and this is by far the easiest way to carry the bottle when it is full. A full gallon of water weighs just over 8 pounds, and this bottle just has 2 textured sides to help with gripping (along with the built in strap). I would have preferred a design that has the handle built directly in to the bottle, however this may make it more difficult to adequately clean. It also had a tag on it warning that it was not dishwasher safe -- so be aware of that if it is important to you.Overall though this is a very high end water bottle. With the strap, I'm able to carry it just fine when it is full. I would give it a full 5 stars, it works as described and the lid feature is very high-end.If I accidentally drop this when it's full and crack the bottle I'll likely be ordering another!!

Was so happy when I got it but went to use it the straw don’t work so Whatever I went to take a drink from it and it soaked my shirt.

This water bottle is huge!! A gallon .. yet small and light enough to actually carry. This is a strong unit. It won't crush or break, the lid is brilliant. It holds tight and supports the the weight of the full bottle without any problems. It also has this double closure thing. The first top locks with a double lock. Flip the outer lever down, the push the button and the outer top pops up. Then you've got a choice, use the large spout to pour out the water, or use the straw and drink up. It is so nice having a full gallon to carry around. The trade-off for making it light enough to carry, is the outer wall. This is NOT one of those water bottles that keeps the cold for 24 hours and the hot for 12 hours. Nope this one dissipates either way in a few hours .. but again .. it is light enough to carry with you. That is a trade off I'm willing to take. I live in Arizona and its Summer-time. Fill it with ice cubes and cold water, even in 100° temperature it will stay cold for three or four hours. Enough for most summer hikes.
