Should work on all Camaro and Firebird and Trans Am from at least 1998 through 2002, I suspect these are the same all the way back to 1993. These worked on my 99 Trans Am rear hatchback, came with rubber boots, nice touch. Pull out clip slightly on old ones to release ball side, unscrew other side with a large T50 torx (on 99 Trans Am). These new ones just snapped right on the ball without needing to touch the clip, and bolted on the other side. Holds weight of the hatch very well. Seems well built.

These have brute strength. I have no doubt they could work on a Trans Am Hatch with the high spoiler. I have a 97 Formula with a low spoiler but they hold it up with no problems. Oh and although some on youtube etc try to talk you into buying springs so the hatch pops up some when you hit the release button but with these its a waste of money buying those springs cause these struts work so good. On the installation I used a Torx T-50 and socket extensions for better leverage, they are a little difficult to install but that is because of the cars plastic trim. I suggest laying a heavy paper towel like you can get at car wash on the trim edge so the torx bit doesn't mar it up when you remove the mounting bolt. It is a one person job in stalling them and takes roughly 1.5 hours getting tools ready to doing the install to putting tools up.

Easy install, but make sure you have a helper to hold the hatch up. Evidently, my stock ones were bad for quite some time. Not anymore. Work great
