This hoop is fun and super cool looking in the dark! The size is perfect. It took a bit of pushing, pulling and pressure to unroll it after taking it out of the package, I wasn't exactly gentle about it, lol, but it seems pretty resilient. Got it into its lumpy circle form, then let it lay on the floor overnight, as directed. It flattened out nicely! The only thing I don't like about this hoop is there isn't an on/off button or switch (not that I can find). It appears you have to depress the button that connects the ends of the hoop to turn the lights off.. kind of a pain, so it'll likely stay battery-less unless there is a nighttime party or something. Otherwise, it's a cool hoop!

Great weight, some gripping material spirals around the hoop too which is nice! Only took a day or so to regain its circular shape after shipping. Won’t buy a basic Walmart kids hoop every again after using one like this.

I was a bit leery at first when this arrived in a small box. The hoop has a seam and is double-coiled in the box. It takes a bit of careful uncoiling to get the hoop open to full size without kinking it. I put my foot in the center and gently pulled the free ends up and out until they would slip together. I think once it is in this position for a while, it should take a 'set' and be easier to manage.The batteries cleverly slip into an open end of the tube where it separates. There is a spring pin that you push with your finger to slip the ends fully together to connect the batteries and has a 2nd position that disconnects the batteries. My kids will have a lot of fun with this at the outdoor music festival we are heading to soon.

We got bot the smaller kid size and the larger adult size. The smaller kid size is certainly smaller. Both have weight to them. They are tricky to unbend when they first arrive. You have to be patient and give it time to sit out (hard for me and the kids). They run on 2 AA batteries that you must provide. I thought pushing in the button to load the batteries and turn the off/on was difficult. But I do like that it has a shut off mode. Overall it is a fun hula hoop at night and can be used for other games in the dark too.

I am so suck of looking at this stupid hoop at this point. When you first receive it, it's all bent and difficult to unclip from itself. There's a button that you have to hold down while trying to pull this tightly wound piece of plastic apart. The first hoop I got actually broke part of the inner light mechanism while trying to pull it apart, and the lights never worked appropriately. I got a replacement, but it's not much better. It didn't break right away, but the material is flimsy, and I expect it to stop working any minute now. It's basically a overpriced piece of trash, in my opinion.

Looks great and works as expected, with the minor exception of my stunted ability to properly use the hoop. Would likely be great for a semi-experienced hooper.

Perfect size for an adult. I'm 5'8 165 lbs. The lights are amazing! It brings back childhood memories.
